The Removal Of Diablo 3's AH Isn't Exactly What Players Want

Blizzard will remove auction house from Diablo 3 on March 18, 2014 to fit the game's Loot 2.0 system and bring the game back to the concept of "kill monsters to get cool loot".

so much whining nowadays. just stfu and enjoy the game

I agree but its definitely a strange decision. They should just keep adding certain high level loot that really rare for the AH but lower the drop rates for items 1-60. Or something. I think drop rates may b a little low on console. I am halfway through nightmare mode...I havnt grinded but my level 35 monk is destroying everything b/c all my gear is legendary...even my followers!

It's exactly what I want. AH ruined the game.

IMHO The Consoles got the best version. Offline = amazing imo. Removing the AH is a good step but not far enough with the always online requirement.

The Auction House is only a problem for people who are looking for something to complain about.

The only real complaint people can have is always online, but the AH, give me a break.

Simply dont use the AH...done. Problem solved.

To people who say the game cant be beaten unless you use the AH are full of it. I have NEVER bought a thing from the AH, and I have plenty of great gear for 4 different classes.

I don't think anyone is saying the game is UNBEATABLE without resorting to the auction house...only that not using it made the game ridiculously grindy and unfun.

I've been replaying it on consoles with a couple of my buddies, and I'm having a much better time, honestly.

Diablo has always been ridiculously grindy...always.

Mikeyy3860d ago

Bold claim, Post your profile then, and how do we know you self found this gear?

nothing drops, All my drops are worth 20k-200k tops, not even, in frikken MP5. I've found 1 item worth More then a mill, I got 4.5 for it.

People arent asking for hand me outs, there asking for Diablo 2's drop ratios. Fair ones, that don't force you to flip the AH for money to by gear because it wont drop.

Cyberpunk and No Man's Sky have to be up there. We're lucky and cursed, equally, to have games that can be updated now. For folks old enough to remember the Sega/SNES into PS1 and even 2 eras, if a game came out that was half baked (*cough*Angel of Darkness*cough*) that was it, no redemption. At the same time, having the option for updates shouldn't be an excuse for half assing games.

thorstein77d ago

I remember when the Nintendo Seal of Approval meant something.

All those games had to release without bugs.

Comebacks shouldnt be a thing in videogames. Just saying.

Diablo III - Still a Huge Draw in the Face of Diablo IV

Diablo III still works on modern PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and remains hugely playable a decade after initial release.

Palitera386d ago

Are you comparing a continuously improved 10+ years old masterpiece with the... beta of an unreleased game?

kevco33385d ago

Heh, yeah. There's no comparison in here! Its a commentary on how III is still very playable over a decade later.
