I was thinking the same thing watching this video. It still made for an interesting view. The best part for me was watching the transition from Halo 3 to Halo 5 game (9 mins to those that don't want to watch the whole video). That made it worth the watch.

The way MC jumped off a cliff at the end of the Halo 3 clip. It almost made it appear that the ground cratered but it was the start of Halo 5 clip. Great editing.

Was surprised to see multiplatform titles. I was expecting to see only XBox exclusives. Sadly have to agree the majority of the collage was nothing, but cut scenes.

Ya I loved forza 1 but it was a late gen game. I also thought Sega GT was a good looking game on the Xbox to. Have to say you can really see the jump from Forza 3 to Forza 5. I did not think the jump would be back big the start of this gen but wow well done Turn10.

Remember, this is a PS2 game that had 1080p output (I assume upconversion) through component cables. I still have it, both it and the fps game Black looked amazing through component.

CRAIGs post simply sparked up some memories of amazing looking graphics from last gen. Not meant to be fanboy related, I just only had a PS2 back then. I did play a few games on my brother and cousins Xboxs though. I never played Doom 3 but there was this Xbox fighting game that was xbox exclusive, can't remember its name but it looked amazing back then too.

GT4 supported 1080i and 16x9 and was 1 of only a few games that did.

GT3 didnt support 480p or 1080i but did support 16x9.

On the xbox, soul calibur 2 supports 720p but not in 16x9. if you ran 480p it would do 16x9 same as ps2.

If you care to hear my theory, I really believe that it's a result of this current generation having the Xbox 360 as the leading system and PS3 fans being upset about it. They had what was supposed to be the better system and the Xbox 360 trumped it. Now, PS fans are eager to see the new system outperform the XB1 and they'll do and say anything to ensure or convince people that the PS4 is the better system. If you look really closely at the forums, in most cases you'll see PS4 diehards trolling HARD while the XB1 people don't really go out of their way to start a ruckus.

Here's something I've noticed. If a game has a huge fanbase, chances are you're going to run into some mouthy kids. It makes perfect sense really, even though these same kids shouldn't be playing most of these "M" rated games but that's a whole other argument. It all depends on the game you're playing. I've been playing lots of Splinter Cell Blacklist and everyone who plays that game know the importance of proper communication. It's also a game that doesn't attract too many kids. Now while there is bullying, racism and other forms of nonsense on Xbox Live, don't forget that when PS Home came out, you had plenty of instances of male gamers harassing any females that would be walking around. I've seen videos of their avatars surrounding the girl and doing this weird dance that looks pretty close to a humping motion. Both sides have their jerks but in most cases, it's as simple as hitting the mute button.

If I am going to be perfectly honest... the comparisons I dont think did any justice for xbox. All the games shown for xb1 was mostly not even gameplay and the rest just looked horrible. Madden 25 looked like the best thing shown in the montage.

Just happy to be a gamer, I've seen every platform from Atari 2600 to now. All I can say is wow, games are like the perfect combination of reading and movies, immersion into the stories are incredible. Some games tell a story so well, you feel a part of it. The emotional attachment you feel for characters makes it hard when the game ends.
