Will Titanfall Eventually Come to PlayStation 4

EA’s new franchise “Titanfall” coming to the Xbox One and PC early next year has easily become next-gen’s most anticipated game, and with all the hype it is receiving it is only a matter of time before EA will bring it over to the PlayStation 4 as well.

Don't get me wrong, I think titan fall looks like an awesome game and if it comes out for the ps4 then great i'll definitely get it but from the games i've seen that are coming out for the ps4 for the first couple of months, it blows my mind to think what we can expect for the next couple of years.

If EA wants to be a dollar an hour hooker for microsoft then good for them. I will be more than contented with the games that will be on the ps4 for it's life cycle, not playing one game isn't really going to phase me. But hey, that's just my two cents.

Titanfall engineer Jon Shiring explained on Respawn.com how his team's game -- as well as other Xbox One and PC titles -- will take advantage of Microsoft's Azure cloud service.

When Respawn couldn't afford the cash or manpower to acquire the "hundreds of thousands of servers" necessary to put players in dedicated servers, "The Xbox group came back to us with a way for us to run all of these Titanfall dedicated servers" in the form of the cloud. Shiring says that also "lets us push games with more server CPU and higher bandwidth, which lets us have a bigger world, more physics, lots of AI, and potentially a lot more than that!"

I severely doubt your argument.
A few points:
1) Respawn presumably exists because of an ideological conflict between Infinity Ward and Activision. They probably don't want to be under anyone's boot as long as they don't have to be.
2) Respawn Entertainment will fight tooth and nail to keep their IP's. The Titanfall IP is theirs. EA is just the publisher...
3) PS4 is using the same architecture as Xbox One and PC. Why would EA pass up on that large of an install base if development costs of the game are already covered? If a PS4 version of the game is not already being made, then it could be ported very quickly.

Those same things can be said about titan fall. Also at least the first mass effect was paid for. That was the reason it took so long for it to come to the ps3. Actually they had to do what ninja gaiden did to release it on the ps3, release it under a different name, mass effect trilogy. Also the amount of money the would have to pay(millions) to moneyhat this game to exclusivity, they could make a real exclusive themselves. Look back at gta 4. They paid 50 million for 2 dlc which eventually still came to ps3. That's at least have a new exclusive right there. 3rd party exclusives don't help the industry. They take a game that's coming to both consoles already only go to one and takes money out of that consoles budget. So instead of 2 games and ones exclusive. You get 1 game and you never know if it will also go to the other console.

There's no need for this game to come to PlayStation. Let the Xbox One owners have it; that's the genre they embrace anyway. Even though I'm sure it will come, I have no problem with it staying Xbox exclusive because my rig(work-in progress) will be more than ready by the time it comes. My build so far:

The rest is still a mystery to me. Friend(long time PC elitist dousche) is helping me with my build and PC knowledge. Probably buying PC version of BF4 when build is done, until then getting PS4 version.

Also don't gimp out on a power supply...higher quality is the way to go

16Gb of ram is also recommended and a good sound card
If you can afford it go for the Asus Maximus Formula (the one in the link below) Which has a soundcard included and a headphone amp and all the latest technology built in

My thoughts on it is that it will eventually come to the PS4. This is Respawns first game and unless MS dishes out some major cash then it would be not wise not to go to PS4. My question though is Titanfall is supposed to be relying heavily on MS Cloud for Multiplayer. Is the Cloud even going to be ready in time for the game? Even Yusuf Mehdi said it has a ways to go technically before it works.

If they want the franchise to be successful, they'll get it on PS4. I'm not going to spend 500 dollars just to play Titanfall. It looks great, but I can wait for it. There's plenty of other games that's just as great.

damn, can xbox actually keep an exclusive to itself for once. PS already got great exclusives i hope they keep this to themselves. but i guess its good that more people get to play it, now if we can just get 1 or 2 PS exclusives that would be nice but we all know thats not gonna happen.

Sony fanboys spend more time talking about Titanfall then they do about the games actually shipping on the PS4...

And for the record I assume that Titanfall will come to the PS4... I expect it June 2015.

The wildcard is: What was the deal between MS and EA when Bioware was bought out? Mass Effect was under a exclusivity contract with MS for the first three games. MS agreeing to Mass Effect to go multi-platform had to cost EA something.... Maybe Titanfall exclusivity?

I really don't care if it's multi-plat. Coming from EA it may very well be, but I gotta say I don't understand what the hype is behind this game.

I haven't seen anything that has provoked me to even be the least bit excited for Titanfall
