Nagoshi Confirms that Information on Yakuza Ishin Will Come on the Day of Sony's PS4 Conference

Legendary Yakuza Producer Toshihiro Nagoshi just announced that "super up-to-date" information on Yakuza Ishin will come on the same day of Son Japan's PS4-focused conference.

even if sony doesnt moneyhat devs/publishers... some games mostly in japan will only be released exclusive to playstation systems ^_^

a prime good examples are NIS games, gust games,and some series/franchises that still remains to playstation untill now ^_^

I would not bet on that. Yakuza Ishin will be a self contained game, so having played the previous chapters of the series is not necessary, and Sony is known for pushing localization of titles during the early days of a platform to beef its line-up. Remember Gundam for PS3?

Keep in mind that Kenzan did not have trophy support. At the time of Sega's typical location period (1 year post Japan release), Sony had a very deep line in the sand regarding the release of games on the PS3 without trophy incorporation.

Anyways, the Yakuza HD Collection released on the Wii U not too long ago. Maybe this will be a PS4/WiiU multiplat? Then again, it did HORRIBURU on the Wii U. I think around the same as the flop sales of W101. So maybe PS4 exclusive?

This will be a PlayStation title only. The WiiU had its test with the HD Collection and failed miserably. Don't see that road being taken again, which is smart, since Yakuza fans are on PlayStation systems. It's DEFINITELY PS4 exclusive.

But more importantly I wish someone would help Sega localize Y5 because its clear they won't do it on their own.

@ tiffac: If the WiiU experiment didn't do so well, and it didn't, the Xbox experiment would do even WORSE! Remember, the majority of its fans are in Japan, who don't go for Xbox.

Wouldn't really get too excited about this as sure it may be a PS4 exclusive but probably never be released in the west. Sega are complete dicks when it comes to their games. They think that all the people who live in the west want from their catalogue are the crap games featuring a blue hedgehog. All previous games from the Yakuza franchise were released over in the west, all apart from the best one of the lot Yakuza 5 and Sega have basically said that they are not going to localise it due to lack of interest. It was Sega's own fault for thinking that Yakuza: Dead Souls would sell bucket loads because it featured zombies in it. Only reason I bought it was because I have all the previous Yakuza games. Dead Souls was weak and I couldn't be bothered to even finish it. Was looking forward to Yakuza 5 but no localisation means I can't play it unless I learn Japanese or play game and follow translations on the net. Sega are so dumb because if they planned ahead they could include an option for English subtitles in the game and an option for changing other game text to English while making the game, they wouldn't need to have the game dubbed into English as the speaking in Japanese isn't a problem with subtitles. Then they could release in the west also and not have to spend extra money to localise it later on.
As much as I would love to see Ishin released outside Japan, I can't see it happening as Sega don't know what their customers want and it sure as hell isn't another Sonic game.

Im gonna import yakuza 5 next year , someone on youtube will translate it... His name is khhsubs. He translated all of kenzan so i went ahead and imported it. Now he started doing Y5 translated substory, and by next year he said he will translate 5.. Also imported 1&2 hd cuz theres a story walktrough on youtube cuz it came out in english. Hopefully ishin will arrive outside japan but with sega i also doubt it.
