"Well, damn. Only 14 days to go until the mammoth seventh-gen masterpiece drops from the heavens like an atom bomb, strapped to the T with fire-works, which will spell out “GOTY in a big way!” in big, neon-esque traces of letters. Yes, perhaps the only game that can beat The Last of Us for GOTY, Grand Theft Auto V, is almost here. Ever since I was 4, and for the first few seconds I had it, into my PS2 I popped in the gritty, mafioso masterwork GTA III, I have been an extremely hardcore fan of just about every game in the series short of the original, which is quite terrible, and you have my full recommendation against playing it. I feel, to welcome perhaps the new king of the series, as well as open-world sandboxes, or hell, video gaming, I will rank, from worst to best, the games that encompass the violent, provocative Grand Theft Auto series."
The GTA 5 Agent Trevor DLC episode could have been a real treat for fans on PlayStation and Xbox, before it was scrubbed sometime before 2017.
With the amount of money they generated, I just don’t understand the scrubbing of this. It would’ve been fantastic for fans.
I really want to know who drove the decision to focus on multiplayer was it Rockstar or take two.
Because when online started taking off many of the studio leads began having falling outs and leading including a founder
One of the reason I believe once gta 6 release, most of us thoroughly play it, enjoy the world they crafted then after that no offline support, no dlc at all
Grand Theft Auto V was released on PC on the 14th of April 2015. That means the game will be nine years old in four days, and it’s still among the most-played titles on Steam. With a 24-hour peak of 145K players, it’s as popular as Baldur’s Gate 3, Apex: Legends, and Destiny 2.
The freedom to explore large areas, approach objectives in multiple ways, and stumble across amusing distractions will always be an excellent format for video games, but some do it better than others. To celebrate the formula and parse the best from the best, have a look at the best open-world games of all time so far.
For me;
1: GTA San Andreas/ GTA 4
2: GTA Chinatown wars
3: GTA Vice City
4: GTA Liberty city stories
5: GTA 3
6: GTA Advance
7: GTA Vice city stories (haven't played enough)
8: GTA
9: GTA 2
Agree or disagree? The reason why I have GTA 4 and SA together is because i honestly love them both. Also I consider GTA 4 and the expansions to be the complete package. Even without the expansions though GTA 4 would still be up there just maybe at number 2.
San Andreas
Vice city
GTA 3
GTA 4
GTA 1
GTA 2
I have a sneaking suspicion that GTA5 will be at the top of that list come September, or at the very least on par with SA.
I haven't played every GTA, everyone has a different experience with each GTA game they play. The main one I played was Vice City, this was due to me not having a lot of money and my uncle would lend games to me. I would always borrow Vice City.
Anyway, here's my list:
Vice City
San Andreas
GTA III
GTA IV
Vice City Stories
GTA I
The reason being, I didn't play a lot of GTA I, so I can't say I have had enough experience with the game to say that it's better than another GA. VCS was fun, but not nearly as fun as the others.
I see a lot of people enjoying San Andreas more. I do agree that it's an amazing game in the series, it sports a lot of content, character customization and the character design is great, but Vice City was the one I grew up playing.
Of those I've played I'd say my list is:
San Andreas
Chinatown Wars
Vice City
TLaD
TBoGT
GTA IV
GTA III
GTA II
GTA London
GTA
Out of the ones I've played here's my opinion:
GTA San Andreas
GTA Liberty City Stories
GTA Vice City
GTA IV
GTA II
