"Sony has talked in the past about the way in which they aimed to give developers what they want with the PS4 and the company has been vocal about the fact that they sought feedback from the development community while working on their next-gen offering.
According to Infamous: Second Son director, Nate Fox, Sony's willingness to take feedback from developers has really paid off, particularly when it comes to the PS4's controller, the DualShock 4."
Sony has recruited Bungie's head of revenue Jaremy Rich to head up its live-service gaming division, Rich has announced on social media.
Please do not put Destiny’s monetization into Sony’s first party games. The monetization is what’s driving players away from Destiny.
I mean, this person made some pretty bad decisions at Bungie. I hope they've learned from them because I definitely don't see those type of ideas as good for PlaySation in general.
Ps5 gamers in 2023 seemed to play more live service types of games, so regardless to how people feel about them, numbers don’t lie and Sony is going where the money is. I mean look at the excitement around Helldivers2, people are showing that they want live service games.
How do you kill a franchise that already been killed?
Destiny’s grind, cash-in-on-playbass-cha-Ching, and pop-culture-insertion mainstream-me-too bs totally killed any rep Bungie had. Sony/Bungie, if you are doing this to ward-off players, it’s already working.
Sony has patented to add multiple dialogue modes to let players switch between how many conversations with NPCs they want in the game.
Sony is like the only ones outta the 3 that has atuff like like this pop up changing thing in ways.
Genuine Enabling Technology was seeking damages, claiming the tech allowing PlayStation consoles and controllers to communicate infringes its rights.
Sounds like patent trolling they tried the same thing against Nintendo with the same pattern.
Motion and control input traversing over higher and lower frequencies seperate from each other allowing the controller to do both
So to recoup the money Genuine is going to take on Nintendo or Microsoft next. I hate patent lawyers they are some of the worst bottom feeders out there.
Everything about this game looks amazing. It blew me away at e3.
I imagine that die hard Sony fans are going to love the DS4, even though I personally don't care for the analog stick layout and I hate the triggers. You could also get rid of the light bar now that the camera is pretty much guaranteed to fail.
I love the look of the new Dual Shock 4 but I won't judge it until I've used it myself.
I personally forget which controller I am using very quickly once I am into a game. Only exception was any games that used the dpad on the 360, which were few and far between anyway. The DS4 and X1 controller both look great in my opinion. Unless you have a hand problem I don't see how people really notice the difference once they are gaming.
Cannot wait to try this out. The reviews have all being greatly positive.
I just want to hold you already.. November come sooner. ToT please!
