GaminRealm: "A new Nintendo Direct is headed our way tomorrow morning at the usual 7a.m. PST time (9a.m. CST, 10a.m. EST). As usual, you can catch the presentation tomorrow morning here on Nintendo’s official ND page. But what exactly should Nintendo fans expect from this Direct?"

I would like to see a Wind Waker HD Wii U Bundle.

I would get a Wii U just for that.

AbortMission3914d ago

Just to replay a Gamecube game at $60?

Slade233914d ago

or for people who haven't played it yet.

thezeldadoth3914d ago

you sony trolls try really hard

deafdani3914d ago

Right now, the cheapest you can get for the original Wind Waker for Gamecube, NEW, is $160 bucks.

And, Gamecube game or not, it's still a damn great game. Cry moar.

Slade233913d ago (Edited 3913d ago )

and speaking about $60 I wouldn't buy a game to just have HD on it. Because nintendo knows that people who played this game back when gamecube was around, know that they want something more than just a HD remake if replaying this game. and that's what they did on OoT 3DS. Added Master Quest,Boss Challenge mode(and master quest has it own BC mode as well) even though this wasn't in HD but in 3D.

So again it will be stupid for Nintendo not adding any new features or modes anything to Wind Waker HD and I hope they announce it during the Nintendo direct.

Price cut for Wii U by at least $50 so I would be more tempted to get one. I do not expect any huge news, though I would like to see some SSB

EXVirtual3914d ago (Edited 3914d ago )

Hey Shokio! I'm just expecting some completely new games. Maybe Miyamoto's new IP?

chadboban3914d ago

Nah, they pretty much said this Direct is going to be about announced games for the rest of this year on Wii U and 3DS. So probably some new trailers for Pokemon, Zelda LTTP 2, DKC:TF, WWHD, The Wonderful 101 etc.

bass4g3913d ago

That would be great but I wouldn't count on it. Go in with low expectations with these things because every now and then they reveal something amazing but only every now and then.

Trago13373914d ago

Where's that summer update???

Maybe their prepping for a unified account system finally....or not.

But I'm gonna keep my expectations in check since this is about announced titles for THIS year.

Venoxn4g3914d ago (Edited 3914d ago )

summer update delayed till september or october

bass4g3913d ago

Wasn't that always part of the original plan? Along with giving the 3ds miiverse.

Wii U games that still haven't been ported to Switch

The Nintendo Switch is potentially nearing its lifespan, and several Wii U games haven't found their way over as ports yet.

I think it's better to leave games like AC: Amiibo Festival and Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash forgotten on the Wii U. Best case, they are mediocre games; worse case, they are very bad. It was a dark time for the Wii U, and the first only exists to sell Amiibo cards, whereas the second was put together in a couple of months with a shoestring budget, and it shows.

The rest of the list does have some really cool games, though. I would love to see a remake of Star Fox Zero with decent controls, and Xenoblade X doesn't require that much modification to work.

How would XCX work without dual screens functionality?

Cacabunga3d ago

Same as Paper Mario color splash. One of the best wiiu games and getting even better with dual screen. Same reason why i prefer Splatoon 1

This article leaves out Nintendo's most controversial game to date devils Third.
I personally found the cover system really fun in that one compared to at the time most fps games completely lacking one.

Stevonidas3d ago

Devil's Third is HIGHLY underrated.

repsahj3d ago

They should remake Starfox to the switch 2. Very beautiful game during gamecube days.

Kirby is always ignored or forgotten by people, so good to see it mentioned here.
Play Kirby Canvas Curse on DS, and then play Rainbow Curse on Wii U, they're really fun and unique 'platformers' without any actual jumping.
