Fireseed3921d ago

The day I get one of these systems, I am ABSOLUTELY doing this.

savaroth3921d ago

Uhm how about no? My vita looks fine the way it is. If you want the Famicom look, just buy a Famicom.

Blank3921d ago

Not going to lie if the Famicom was a sony product I would get this for my Vita but my OCD dont let me cross these things even if the color scheme of the things are awesome like these. So for Wii U it is!

Sure, Why Not Connect A PS2 Controller To Your Wii U?

Classic Controller what? You can use a PlayStation 2 controller to play Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars. Datel Japan created a PS2 controller to Wii/Wii U adapter. All you need to do is plug one end to a Wii remote and the other to a PS2 pad.

The adapter also has a Turbo button, possibly useful for Virtual Console shooters.

No thanks, I hate those anolog sticks and triggers.

stage884162d ago

Analog sticks?

Playstation have the best sticks of any device.

lilbroRx4162d ago

I'd have to give that to the Gamecube controller, then the nunchuk. PSX controller comes in third.

Nerdmaster4162d ago (Edited 4162d ago )

I agree. Of all the joysticks I ever used, the Dual Shock ones are the worst. The analog sticks are really bad (at least they last longer than Nintendo ones). I really like the Xbox 360 joystick. If only its digital D-pad was a little better...

Unfortunately, PS3 accepts many USB joysticks, but not the 360 one...

cee7734162d ago

ps2 controller has no triggers.

You fail.

topgeareasy4162d ago

WII U now gets a good controller, too bad WII U hardware sucks

guitarded774162d ago

Nah... I'll stick with the gamepad. Even the $50 pro controller feels like a step down from the gamepad. I know people get all crazy when a company implements something another does, but I hope the PS4 and NeXBOX have some sort of input device like the Wii U gamepad. I play on all systems, so I don't care if one company lifts from another, and the Wii U gamepad is brilliant.

Dark5tar14162d ago

I agree, I love the Wii U gamepad. It really reminds of a big DS but that's not a bad thing.

guitarded774162d ago

Apparently no one else agrees... I guarantee most if not all the disagrees are from people who have never tried it.

TongkatAli4162d ago

Wii U gamepad is mad comfortable.

usernames4162d ago

You know they will. Just like they did with motion controls.

Tidybrutes4162d ago (Edited 4162d ago )

these are old news theyve been on ebay for ages and are intended for wii, yes it may work with wii u but hardly wii u news

Haha1234162d ago

Meh ill rather use the pro controller

Microsoft and Datel settle lawsuit over Xbox controllers

Microsoft and Datel settled a lawsuit over Xbox controllers.

In April, Microsoft sued the U.K.-based game technology company, which makes controllers that work with Microsoft's Xbox video game system. Datel makes game system accessories that sell in Walmart, Best Buy and Target stores, and Microsoft said Datel's "TurboFire" and "Wildfire" controllers infringed on several of Microsoft's patents for controller design.

Yikes, the law is slow. Anyway, doesn't MS releasing a Slim kinda defeat the purpose of Datel memory cards?

mrv3214989d ago

Unless your one of the 40 million who own a original 360 and want to move stuff I suppose :P

Again, I have a 60GB 360 and have not used memory cards.

Active Reload4989d ago

Its interesting because the TurboFire 2 is wireless, as far as the controller issue goes. As far as the memory cards go, MS obviously wants more people to buy a slim, if not they really wouldn't be concerned would they? MS doesn't even sell a 4gig memory card, but Datel does, so its semi-obvious.

BISHOP-BRASIL4989d ago

Not so much of those original 360s still work anyway... Sorry, that was too easy to pass! LOL

stuna14989d ago

Sounds to me like Datel has microsoft by the ball.

blue7xx74989d ago (Edited 4989d ago )

This law suit isn't about the memory cards it's about Microsoft suing Datel for making a similar designed controller like the Xbox 360 for the Xbox 360 and I guess now Datel decided to just pay them.

Terarmzar4989d ago

Sony and Microsoft were Sued once before over there controllers
Thats why when the ps3 launched we didn't have dualshock controllers

MicroSony4Life4989d ago

looking controller? I thought it looked bad a$$ but it also lokked like it would have felt a little stiff on the hands.

I love the DS3 but I have been gaming since the PS1 and I hope Sony chnage the controller for the PS4.

Zachmo1824989d ago

Cause the thing was pretty huge actually good thing they didnt.

The Great Melon4989d ago

A little stiff? Aesthetically it might have looked nice, but the controller itself was probably horrible. There were no contours on that controller. Gripping it would have been a nightmare.

hazelamy4989d ago

probably because they were lethal, seriously, i could see at least half a dozen different ways to kill somebody with one of those boomerang controllers.

Baka-akaB4989d ago

ever held a boomerang ? Then add buttons on top and that's probably how crappy it would have felt .

I dont think the ps3rang were ever intended to be more than a mockup concept nor that they ever planned a change from the ps controller

militant074989d ago

turbo controllers? I hope they bankruptcy

Baka-akaB4989d ago

How about being useful for once datel , and releasing usb adaptors for ps3 and 360 that dont actually lag ... or a cheap way to use 360 pads and sticks on ps3 , and vice versa ps3 pads and sticks on 360 .

Instead datel will pollute with garbage usb adaptors with full on lag , crappy dual 360/ps3 sticks that are hard to mod , and second rate unnoficial pads

I Call 9MM4989d ago

I think the big issue here was the fact that Microsoft utilizes a proprietary wireless protocol for their controllers, which of course they hold the patents for, and Datel was able to bypass/reverse engineer it, that would be my assumption since the Wireless Controllers do not require a dongle. Of course, they are probably also were sueing on the grounds the controllers looked a lot alike.

I actually like the design of the TurboFire2 Wireless Controller, that D-Pad looks sweet (or at least better than Microsofts, never been a fan of that D-Pad)! Wonder what the build quality is like?

The older TurboFires (under the Intec brand) seem to be around 20 bucks cheaper than the official controllers, not too bad. Don't like the idea of those Turbo buttons though, but programmers should take that into account I guess.
