If you feel that your favorite portable console (or the gamepad of your Wii U) looks too modern, Datel Japan just released something that could help you out.
The company just released three adorable “Retro Cases" that make your portables/gamepad look like Famicom controllers.

What could possibly go wrong!?
Classic Controller what? You can use a PlayStation 2 controller to play Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars. Datel Japan created a PS2 controller to Wii/Wii U adapter. All you need to do is plug one end to a Wii remote and the other to a PS2 pad.
The adapter also has a Turbo button, possibly useful for Virtual Console shooters.
Nah... I'll stick with the gamepad. Even the $50 pro controller feels like a step down from the gamepad. I know people get all crazy when a company implements something another does, but I hope the PS4 and NeXBOX have some sort of input device like the Wii U gamepad. I play on all systems, so I don't care if one company lifts from another, and the Wii U gamepad is brilliant.
these are old news theyve been on ebay for ages and are intended for wii, yes it may work with wii u but hardly wii u news
Microsoft and Datel settled a lawsuit over Xbox controllers.
In April, Microsoft sued the U.K.-based game technology company, which makes controllers that work with Microsoft's Xbox video game system. Datel makes game system accessories that sell in Walmart, Best Buy and Target stores, and Microsoft said Datel's "TurboFire" and "Wildfire" controllers infringed on several of Microsoft's patents for controller design.
Yikes, the law is slow. Anyway, doesn't MS releasing a Slim kinda defeat the purpose of Datel memory cards?
Sony and Microsoft were Sued once before over there controllers
Thats why when the ps3 launched we didn't have dualshock controllers
How about being useful for once datel , and releasing usb adaptors for ps3 and 360 that dont actually lag ... or a cheap way to use 360 pads and sticks on ps3 , and vice versa ps3 pads and sticks on 360 .
Instead datel will pollute with garbage usb adaptors with full on lag , crappy dual 360/ps3 sticks that are hard to mod , and second rate unnoficial pads
I think the big issue here was the fact that Microsoft utilizes a proprietary wireless protocol for their controllers, which of course they hold the patents for, and Datel was able to bypass/reverse engineer it, that would be my assumption since the Wireless Controllers do not require a dongle. Of course, they are probably also were sueing on the grounds the controllers looked a lot alike.
I actually like the design of the TurboFire2 Wireless Controller, that D-Pad looks sweet (or at least better than Microsofts, never been a fan of that D-Pad)! Wonder what the build quality is like?
The older TurboFires (under the Intec brand) seem to be around 20 bucks cheaper than the official controllers, not too bad. Don't like the idea of those Turbo buttons though, but programmers should take that into account I guess.
this is just my opinion but... ewww
No thank you
The day I get one of these systems, I am ABSOLUTELY doing this.
Uhm how about no? My vita looks fine the way it is. If you want the Famicom look, just buy a Famicom.
Not going to lie if the Famicom was a sony product I would get this for my Vita but my OCD dont let me cross these things even if the color scheme of the things are awesome like these. So for Wii U it is!
