Lorne Lanning, the founder of Oddworld Inhabitants, has been fixture in the game industry for decades. And a loud one at that. Most recently, he was quoted as saying Microsoft didn’t care about indie game developers.
Oddworld Soulstorm's creator has revealed the game is now in a place where the team is incredibly proud of their creation.
game breaking bugs prevented me from enjoying this game. it got deleted to make space for something else to play and i dont see myself unfortunately returning to it
Shame they didn't delay the physical release to include this patch. So at least one version would be complete in that regard
Wccftech interviewed Lorne Lanning to discuss all things Oddworld: Soulstorm, due to release on April 6th for PC, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5) with a particular focus on the PS5 enhancements.
What happened to 4k60, Sony?
Was that a lie?
Will we find out in a year or two that the SSD does nothing outside of improving load times as well?
Super hyped for more Oddworld - and it's free (for PS+ subscribers) which is even better!
Little bit disappointed that it isn't higher res - I was expecting 4k60 for this game, but super glad its 60 at least, that is essential for platforming. 30fps on the PS4 version is kinda brutal though.
Looks good but it's clear it's a ps4 title upgraded to use ps5 features. It should be 4k but tbh if it's a cross over title the 2k image will still look good.
Starting today, Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty is free at Epic Games Store. The free game offer runs until December 19 at 11 AM Eastern. Once you claim it, it’s yours to keep.
I watched the intro to Munch's Odyssey one time while on pain medicine after getting my wisdom teeth pulled. It changed my life.
Oddworld is still one of those franchises that I feel ashamed for never having played. I have them on Steam now... but still haven't played them.
How about you make a new game instead of just re-releasing your old ones?
A fixture of the game industry? He's released only 4 original games since the psOne, and none this entire generation.
