This gen is looking like a reversal of last gen. Last time around, third-party developers were constantly talking about the 360 version of their game and using 360 footage.

Now 3rd party devs are showing off the PS4 version and talking about the PS4. Superior multiplats confirmed?

I'm not sure to be honest. I dunno whether it was rumour or not but but I remember reading an article or someone linking to a post saying that M$ have that policy for 3rd party devs that kinda forces them to make both versions identical. If that's true we might see the PS4 being held back in that respect. :/.

That rumor about Microsoft's policies is false and has gotten blown way out of proportion. The policy you're referring to is - specifically - related to XBL Arcade, where Microsoft would not allow a game on XBLA if it had come to another platform for a cheaper price or with more content. In other words, Microsoft only wanted the first and best versions of downloadable games on XBLA or else you weren't allowed to put it up there.

But that's it. There is no malevolent Microsoft policy that holds back multiplat games just for the sake of it. In fact, haven't you noticed there are many multiplat games that look and run better on PS3 and/or include exclusive content? Microsoft certainly didn't block games like Arkham City or Assassin's Creed, did they?
