well look at xbox 3rd less than half the sales of the 3ds yet sells more software.. 3ds sales mean nothing since most of its userbase dont buy alot games since they are mainly casuals.

PS3 outsells Xbox in pretty much everywhere in the world but US, which 360 has a grip on.

'Mericans lover their football (No clue why it's called this, doesn't make sense).

Therefore, higher sales of Football games on 360 (only 100k lulz).

What IS surprising, is that The Last of Us is STILL in the top 3, and only sold 100 k less than NCAA which came out this week.

Yes, it means the 360 lacks variety, notice that ps3 has 4 games in the top ten, take last of us and one of the lower selling games away and apply that to ncaa 14 and the ps3 version might've outsold the 360 version by a great margin.

Not to be a fanboy but in the North american or US charts people always troll sony for getting beat by the 360,but the worldwide weekly sales of the ps3 has at least 40 000 up on the 360(even though vgchartz arent always 100% correct), so I guess the worldwide chart is more important.

If a small niche franchise could push Wii u to 40k a week and be on the top 5 software chart then imagine how well the big hitters like Mario kart 8 and super smash Bros gonna push the system forward.

Like I've always said. Nintendo was really at fault for this major drought of games in the Wii u first months, but as soon as the big games get released (a price cut would a major factor if it happened) we might see the console doing much better than it does right now.

Yeah, but that won't be happening any time soon. I still use my PSP, and I love it. PSP is selling like hotcakes in Europe and Japan, and if they were to continue to support it properly at its current price point, it would give the 3DS a run for its money. People like cheap things that are good, and the PSP falls into that category.

Somebody please give me a reason other than price why one would get a PSP over a Vita - assuming you don't have neither one. I think Sony needs to do a better job of telling people you can buy all/most PSP games in the Vita PSN store - and expand to selling those on mem cards like Vita games. But other than that why would you want to be stuck in last gen?

In all honesty, it's a human nature thing. We wanna know that the product we backed is "better" than the competitor we didn't chose. Throughout this generation, there have been many determining factors, but one that settles MOST questions at the end of ANY gen is which console sold the most.

VGChartz does "estimated" SOLD numbers, they do not follow official SHIPPED numbers.
