Really like the tablet as a map idea

math3921d ago

Can ps4 players use the vita?

Nitrowolf23921d ago

I only assume it will eventually

JetsFool35003921d ago

They Should Have Commander Mode On The Vita Too

ShabbaRanks3921d ago

I hope so, after all Vita will have crossplay so why not add battlelog too :P

malokevi3921d ago

My surface is going to be getting a ton of use. This looks really cool. Definitely makes the kickstand useful.

orakle443921d ago

so your the one who bought a surface! :P

malokevi3921d ago

Alas, it is I, the sole Surface owner, WEAP at my technical prowess!

ArchangelMike3921d ago

yeah I'm loving he tablet integration. Here's hoping it will work with the Vita. I'm sure Sony will lean on them for the integration. COD:Ghosts is really really going to have to step it's game up this Gen.

ThePirat3Crew3921d ago

Step up with what? More breaking glass?

Wizziokid3921d ago

the missions sound pretty interesting probably my highlight

Phene3921d ago

I don't know how much I'll revert to my phone to setup matches prior to playing, but I guess it's cool to have. I do like being able to change your load-out through your phone, probably be a lot faster. Cool I guess.

Kleptic3921d ago

for clan matches in bf3 on PS3, i used to have my laptop on my coffee table for load out switching and friend messaging (the PS3 message system has always been, and always will be, the biggest joke i've ever come across in gaming)...however, it was kind of pointless because it wouldn't take effect until you drop out and back in to a server...it wasn't real time last i tried...

so this is cool...but i agree with others...i'm not going to be constantly looking at my cell phone for the mini map...it should just be a pop up from a long press on the controller or something...and a faster/sleaker UI design for the in game load outs...i can't really see how any of this is needed...

Phene3921d ago

Yeh its more gimmicky than anything, why go thru an extra process when you can do it from your controller/game. And in-game, in a shooter at least, its too fast paced to be switching to phones, etc. A cleaner UI would be better as you said.

And yeh I hate doing anything message related on PS3, me and my friends would just call each other.

Kleptic3921d ago

haha totally agree...I can't remember exactly...but it was something like 10 confirmation boxes you had to hit before a message was actually sent...

message received prompt during clan match...

open xmb even with the official thumb-board 'shortcut'...

message highlighted, x to open...

highlight message body, x to read...

scroll through message that for some reason takes up only 10% of your HDTV...

hit o to back out of message body...

down button to highlight reply button...

x to confirm reply button...

highlight message body...again...x to open...

hold delete to get rid of the initial message, so your friends can read it faster.

type reply...

start button to confirm text and close message body...

down button to highlight send button...x to activate

'would you like to send this message to __________'...

x to confirm...

honestly, it couldn't be faster or easier...we had a system that if you couldn't fit your message in the subject, so you could instantly read it...don't send it...

we just had a google talk room's (now 'hangouts' or w/e) opened for important stuff...and/or regular phone calls going.

M16a3... dat son of a bit*h!!!

hoju693921d ago

I love the idea of using a tablet or phone to change loadouts at anytime. Hopefully they will support more than just iOS devices this time.

solidt123921d ago

I just downloaded a iPhone app for Battlelog. Check the store.

famoussasjohn3921d ago

They released it for Android about a year after the iOS app came out. Might be the problem with Android and multiple screen sizes and resolutions. With iOS, there's about 3 screen resolutions the developers have to tinker with.

Kleptic3921d ago (Edited 3921d ago )

I don't think that is accurate...the iOS app came out in 2012, which was way before battlelog had any of these types of features...load out changes and everything didn't show up until well after premium released...

but, i don't think there ever was an official Android app...they kept saying it was coming, but it never did...there were all kinds of 3rd party stats apps on google play, but never the real battlelog app...

didn't matter though, as they released the mobile battlelog web version...so you jumped in through the android browser/mobile chrome, and could do all that stuff anyway...

Kleptic3921d ago

ah i stand corrected...i 'retired' from bf3 around May...figures...that released in June haha...

but the mobile web page worked fine since late last year, for me at least...so i wasn't really missing an official app...

Battlefield 1, Hardline, BF4 Servers Are Being Taken Offline by Cheaters; EA Silent on Issue

Cheaters & hackers have been causing grief on Battlefield 1, Hardline & BF4 servers, with nonstop DDoS attacks among other things. Unfortunately, EA has remained silent about it.

-Foxtrot753d ago

Course they are silent, they are hoping people flock to 2042

gamesftw250752d ago

Maybe it was a inside job then haha.

jeromeface751d ago

wouldnt be the first time, titanfall 1+2 anyone?

PapaBop752d ago

Not even if they paid me.. EA always do this with old games with less money potential, if this was Ultimate Team, they'd address and sort it faster than stories could spread. Why invest time in their products when they will just dump it in the following years? Then again EA never could see the forest for the trees.

Inverno752d ago

I imagine after those games were given out for free a couple months back through Amazon, anything that makes people go to 2042 is a plus for them

XiNatsuDragnel753d ago

They want people to go on 2042. My theory

excaliburps752d ago

Nah. I think they can't do anything about it or they want to sink money into fixing it.

Pudge102888752d ago (Edited 752d ago )

EA owns all BF servers so yes, they can do something about it but they refuse to because they dont want ppl playing their old games instead of the new one. Its EA we’re talking about here

pr33k33752d ago

if this happened in 2042, they'd have something to say. which is weird, considering battlefield 1 has more players on steam right now.

Pudge102888752d ago

Its so obvious that EA is doing this or hired ppl to mess up the games so that we’d be forced to have just 1 Battlefield working.

FPS_D3TH752d ago

Honestly it’s probably the devs themselves. They did an update to bf4 way back that kinda made assault rifles doo doo in hopes that people would flock to BF1 cuz BF4 was too perfect

There's a bunch of great shooters on gamepass; both legacy and new.

A recommendation I have is a work in progress preview title called Anacrusis. It's a lot of fun, and has a cool aesthetic.

KeenGamer: "Sometimes a game starts out as a buggy mess and we all just stop and think, “that definitely could have spent a bit more time in the oven”. This is the case for these 5 games which infamously marked their place in recent game memory."
