GR: There's a fierce battle that's going to take place in just a few months' time. A showdown that gamers have been eagerly anticipating for years. Both Sony and Microsoft will be releasing their next-generation consoles this fall, and with the competition growing more intense each passing day, the showdown between Xbox One and PlayStation 4 will be one for the history books.
Right now, Sony clearly has the upper hand. With a solid reveal, appealing price point, and a whole lot of love from indie developers, gamers are flocking to PlayStation's side. Meanwhile, Microsoft totally botched the Xbox One announcement with poor messaging, a higher price point, and a DRM flip flop that has everyone questioning the company's overall vision. As such, I can totally understand why Sony's camp is a bit larger than Microsoft's at the moment—but oddly enough, I'm still far more interested in the Xbox One.
Now before you bite my head off, just here me out.
Lam is among the 120 characters available for recruitment in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. While she is one of the many straightforward recruits, a known bug may prevent players from recruiting her if certain conditions are met. Despite developers’ assurances of fixing the bug, some early access players still encounter issues with recruiting Lam despite attempting the standard method.
Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered players are ticked off by the game’s most recent patch, which censors in-game pin-up posters of Lara Croft.
This is why gaming is screwed. When people change things to fit someone’s agenda, it’s a slippery slope downhill.
tbh I dont see something like this as censorship. Does anyone else not find it strange for someone to stick pin ups of themsleves in a locker room?
Now of it was a pin up of some half naked firefighters it might make sense as Lara might like that, and if they removed that I would cry censorship. But removing pin ups of the main character, yeah I get it.
By the year 2030, this remaster collection will totally be changed and censored. Probably will remove Lara as a playable character. It's ridiculous. Glad that my family didn't buy this.
I still have Tomb Raider 2 PS1 as a memory.
It’s mentioned in the article, and it’s a point i 100% agree with, it’s the fact that they can censor a game after you buy it. That’s total bullshit.
Whilst it's an overreaction to say this has "ruined" the game, it's still problematic that this has happened post launch and for many, post-purchase.
I don't want someone to change a product for the worse after I've bought it. The same goes for implementing micro transactions after reviews.
I wonder why they did this? Nobody was kicking up a fuss as far as I'm aware.
Gary Green said: In a time where an enhanced, 3D remake of Final Fantasy III already exists, it’s hard to argue that Final Fantasy III Pixel Remaster is the definitive version we were expecting. With Final Fantasy III already being the last in the series to be translated and make its way west, this is something of a slap in the face for the fans. Still, let’s not be disheartened. There may be many shortfalls in this edition of Final Fantasy III, however there’s no denying that this classic JRPG still holds some nostalgic value, even if it struggles to break away from its original hardware limitations.
It’s funny I’m seeing these articles about pixel remaster, and I just platinumed 1-4 within 8 days lol. I’ve been on FF5 for about a week now. Let’s just say 5 was the start of FF having content like crazy. I should have the plat within 2-3 days.
did he have to write this just to say: "because of Halo"?
How dare yorarararahhhhhh. Nah I don't care really If you want to play Halo and the other games are multiplatform then it would make sense to go for the One
"The d-pad is leagues better, and the triggers are as smooth as butter"
I disagree with this about the One's controller. I think the work leagues better is a bit of an overstatement. You may think it is better but leagues????
Also is this really an excuse/reason:
"I don't want six HDMI cables sticking out the back of my TV and a half dozen boxes crammed into my entertainment center."
I was with you up to those two points
For me, it's the exclusives of the XB1, with all of the features of it just icing on the cake.
If you're not into Uncharted, inFamous, Killzone, or God of War then there's not much more Sony could do for you, but they will. U4 is not guaranteed to be in development, Sony Santa Monica May have a new IP too. Geurilla have a new IP also. There's 12 new IP's from First Party Studios releasing in the First Year alone.
I can see why you wouldnt want to leave the Halo franchise behind if you really love it, and I definitely agree that Sony haven't shown enough to convince people that they will have games to show. There's just so many First party Sony studios that I know it'll be fine for games.
The HDMI points are silly though, You plug your cable box into X1 right? So that saves 1 HDMI slot, 0 boxes. Also you put a controller in my hand and i'll play it, I've never understood the whole controller thing so I can't really comment.
People keep doing the strange thing of defending Microsoft saying "Well, the were going into the future, they just had bad messaging." And when you ask how the policies were heading into the future people bring up 'Family Sharing' Hardly R2D2 isit? This was possible for digital content on PS3 and really is for a few specific situations. The rest was all just to ensure no used game sales. Modular design is more futuristic than every console has to be online for one to be able to be able to use the cloud. (Especially when it was a stunning few KB once every 24hours, that makes the cloud sound real powerful!)
Troll bait, nothing more
