Duke Nukem Time to Kill (PS1) had some funny 80's/90's-esque one-liners. My personal favorite line from that game was "Go to sleep.......permanently" :) Still use it today.

Conker wins HANDS down. So sad Rare and Nintendo parted ways. Rare is not the same anymore anyway. Nintendo had a hand in every project they had, and back then Rare had some of the best talent out there. I Have no idea who wrote Bad Fur Days script, but LMAO, nothing like that had been done so well before on a home console that I ever played.

Agreed. Pretty much every attempt at humour I've seen in games has fallen very flat. There's a couple of exceptions (Conker, and some old point-and-click games spring to mind) but generally speaking humour in games is more embarrassing than funny.

EDIT: Just remembered Octodad. Not played it but it *looks* hilarious.

Conker is funny, but not always when it wanted to be it. My pick would be Phoenix Wright - Ace Attorney. So many funny and unexpected remarks from the lead characters and it never felt forced! Anyone should pick that game up if they want a solid story with a great sense of humor.
