Yeah, we're all tired of FPSs at point, but why bring them up? They have NOTHING in relevance to Street Fighter... AT ALL. It's called Street Fighter for a reason. You fight, in the street (not literally. Althought there are street stages). What would Capcom gain from making Street Fighter into a generic open world FPS? Well the public has spoken anyway . They requested feedback about this , and it was massively there , with balances suggestions even taken in account , and positive , so it's not even a guess .

And again i dont even believe it's preventing SFV to come along . I firmly believe that it was the update or nothing , for a long while . The team aint gonna rush SFV no matter what , so while we wait a few years for it , let's enjoy the current game improved , or something else .

Not singling out anyone in particular , but the casual warriors , who can't stick with their titles and constantly want fresh blood , do have those coming out regularly , hell Killer instinct is coming soon for them .. so they shouldnt be bothered either way

Why would they! It's still the most consistent, popular and most played fighting game in tournaments. It's evo's biggest draw.

The game still looks remarkably good, so a new update, with 5 new characters, stages, all dlc costume packs and tweaks&balancing is great. Rather than the yearly COD games with only small changes using the same old engine, overpriced dlc but still charging you $60 for the privilage.

If you already have SF4 then the update is only $14.99. I'd say that is pretty much great value.

Don't kid yourself. The updates aren't just for the dedicated fighting game fanbase. The updates are for the the dedicated fanbase, but moreso for the casual fighting game fan where most of their sales will come from. If Capcom assumed the game would sell to the dedicated fanbase and that's it, you'd never see this update getting released. Or if you did, it wouldn't include the characters and they'd only patch the game for the balance tweaks.

Dragon's Dogmas was supported recently, they release a massive expansion, Dark Arisen, and it's damn fun! Unless you want endless character skins.

Rpgs don't require the same amount of support as fighting games, because of it's competitive nature and tournament plays. I'm not the greatest supporter of Capcom, but this SF update I can fully understand it.

No need to rush out SF5, Sf4 still looks greats, plays flawlessly, and still the most competitive fighting game internationally. $14.99 for 5 characters, all previous costume dlc, new stages, balance and tweaks. Sounds good to me. Certainly better value than a lot of other dlc floating around.

If people feel these balance and tweaks are useless,go play or watch vanilla SF over it's current iteration, it's different, and better for it. I am glad Ono-san and his team are continuing to support it.

SSF4 was a paid update,honestly the only one wirth the money. AE ruined the game and added two similar characters as well as 1 more ryu and 1 more akuma. that was 15. This update copy pastes characters from SFxT. I dont think its milking but its a real disgrace since I was one of the fans that wanted to see Alex and Karin or R.Mika, they completely ignore the fan poll and added old characters from a different game.

No morrigan meter in astral vision, doom assist missiles go away if touched, nerf wesker/vergil in xfactor, let characters fall out of Zero's lightning, make Hsein Ko/Phoenix Wright useable. The game is so much better now, and there's more that could be done.

As for when Capcom decides to make SFV, I hope the transition isn't as ugly looking as SFIV. SFIII is still one of the most beautifully animated 2D sprite fighting game I have ever seen in my life.
