With the US government now officially recognising ‘League of Legends’ as a proper sport, the line between eSports and more general sports is blurring. Do you think eSports can be regarded as a sport?
TNS: "A League of Legends game mode, Arena, will return with some major changes that may breathe some life for a stagnant game."
ESTNN writes: "Hwei, LeBlanc and Ryze stand above the rest as the strongest players in the League of Legends 14.8 mid-lane due to substantial buffs in their scaling, base damage and crowd control (CC) respectively."
ESTNN write: "Our updated guide on the latest champions coming to Summoner's Rift."
Yeah why not ? As long it has the "E" before it, and be considered a different category of real physical sport. I mean LoL at Olympic games !? LOL indeed :D
Games get outdated. Live sports don't.
If chess and darts can be sports, why not gaming? As long as these "pro" players aren't going around claiming to be athletes, I really don't mind.
Sure it can be a sport, but don't EVER call them athletes.
