This game is still looking cool, but I feel like Project CARS has stepped out into the lead now.

NioRide3934d ago

PCars is just a pretty game, AC is all about the physics.

orakle443934d ago

Project Cars has very good physics as well, not just a pretty game. Plus its only in alpha/beta stages, can only get better.

pennywhyz3934d ago

Mayb gt and forza can learn from these games.the problem is the console is limited and Pc's are not witch makes a big difference.

mcstorm3934d ago

That is the difference between Forza and GT to PC Sims is that they have unlimited power where What PD and Turn10 do is an amazing job with limited power. IMO Forza 4 is still one of the best looking car games around.

pennywhyz3934d ago

I have to agree with you to some point forza4 is amazing and is a tru sim.All ps fanboys beg to differ that's because they are fan boys.I am all over F 5 on day 1 cause I luv sims and I am a huge fan of the series. But all Im saying if you do have a pc just try it out because you will be amazed at visuals sound and feeling.i'm gonna give ya a agree and a bub aswell.

mcstorm3934d ago

Thx for that. I don't own a PC just a surface RT as I don't have time like I did in the past to play games. I am getting an xbox one on day one to and it was forza that sold it for me over the PS4.

This game dose look impressive as well as forza 5.

kneon3934d ago

Pc's are also limited, and even with a top end pc you won't get the full potential of what's under the hood. If a developer could target a specific card in a specific configuration of PC then you'd get the full potential. But with the need to support a wide range of Pc's with greatly varying capabilities you get a lot of overhead.

RaceDepartment3934d ago

We beg to differ. Havea look here http://n4g.com/news/1308055...

Recorded with an iPhone and running on a mediocre machine :)

kneon3934d ago

Where did I say that PC's can't offer better graphics than consoles? All I'm saying is that all hardware has limits and PCs have greater overhead so you get less performance from the same hardware running a purpose specific OS with software designed for that hardware.

If someone were to load up windows on a PS4 you would find the performance is significantly less than a stock PS4. Then load up a game not optimized for that particular hardware configuration and the performance goes down yet again.

And I'm not trying to say anything bad about Assetto Corsa, I've been following it's development for a long time and will buy it once it finally releases.

NioRide3934d ago

No, the overhead is a choice, not a requirement.

Its up to the developers to decide how well the engine they use works, And what they want the lowest system to be.

Its because developers choose to have that option, not because they can't use it, but because it wouldn't yield enough sales for them to make a profit.

Cool.
Add PSVR2 support to ACC and I might play it.

ApocalypseShadow397d ago

Same. Good sales. But if they are smart, they'll release a VR update on console for PS VR 2. Get more sales. More money.

TheColbertinator397d ago

Impressive series and well known for being challenging

ChiefofLoliPolice397d ago

Jesus really? Damn I didn't know Assetto Corsa was that popular. Now that I look at the sales numbers and the sheer about of mods for the PC version I guess I can see it now.

Obscure_Observer397d ago

Really impressive numbers.

There´re more racing simulators fans out there than most racing games studios acknowledges.

Wish AC1 was at least one X enhanced but it's only sold a lot because of its price
