MMGN writes: "Gamers have collectively acknowledged and embraced an outstanding product, eager to experience its unique way of telling a story, building characters and forming relationships."
"The Game Music Foundation are today very proud and pleased to announce an additional concert, circling back to the roots of Game Muisic Festival in Poland. On April 28th, 2024, the National Forum of Music in Wroclaw will once again become a place to celebrate the art of video game music, featuring scores from The Last of Us and The Last of Us Part II." - The Game Music Foundation.
Najam from eXputer writes "It's time fore a new installment in the series, not another pointless remaster."
They are working on something new. Not to be rude but it is impossibility stupid to think ND next major announcement is going to be a remaster or their next Last of Us entry is going to be another remaster.
The team is sad for losing out on such a great project but celebrates its growth because of spending time on it.
All they had to do was make a basic online mode like their previous games. Instead they wanted more money and choose to go live service which makes games worse in my opinion.
What a waste of time and money, what a shame.
Not sure why they didn’t just make Factions 2. There was no need to make it a live service.
TLoU Factions was a great addition such a shame they couldn’t be bothered to remaster that for PS5 considering the crazy high price tag of the remaster of a remaster…
This is something to be celebrated. This studio is smart and they get it, even factions 2 wouldn't've have been worth the time. I am surprised they didn't just remaster the first one though, but actually how popular was Factions?
I'm just about to finish up my Survivor NG+ file. This game is so good. It definitely raises the bar for story-based games.
"Without wanting to start a “fanboy war”, I can’t help but think how a similarly-designed game would have performed on Xbox 360. Would it have sold anywhere close to 3.5 million copies worldwide, either now or, say, in 2010? Would Microsoft have been up to the task to push the 360 as a must-have device to play such a game, as Sony has with Naughty Dog’s latest?"
Great question. Its hard to say. Obviously the quality speaks for itself and no matter what console/comp you are using, a player appreciates a great game.
I want to say it would do just as well, because Microsoft markets the crap out of any game they believe will be a winner. If this was released in 2010 you bet your ass by 2011 or 2012, both companies would be bundling this with their newest wave of consoles during the holiday season.
Man I really fell in love with this game. This was not only a great video game, but a great story. This will definitely win a few GOTY awards. If you ever bring up an argument that video games are art, use this as ammo and compare it to Cormac Mccarthy's The Road.
I don't think is just gamers. I bet people who weren't even interested in gaming in the first place probably bought the game.
I forgot to congratulate ND in the previous topic regarding the success of TLOU....
Congrats Sony and ND.. Now I want a sequel and Uncharted 4 for PS4. Please
It probably would have done even better on Xbox. If you look at how exclusives sell on Xbox. Great game very depressing but good. Reminds me why I own both consoles. I never miss a great game.
