so this gamer zone thing at best buy...is there a free version of the card that would get me the discount? i would definitely pick up a years worth if it meant that i could just hang onto it until ps4 launch. is there a window in which i would need to activate?

CalvinKlein3944d ago

Yeah there is a free and paid, you can get this deal with the free one. you have to join the rewards program gamer club and you get some deals but also double reward points for videogames. If you already have a rewards zone card you just have to ask to be in the gamer club

The paid version gets you some bonus on used games and a game magazine with coupons in each issue.

Completely agree!! :)

I LOVE my XBox 360. While I placed a pre-order for the XBox One, I also have a pre-order for the PS4. I cannot afford both. If Microsoft does not change its policies esp. regarding used games (& the other policies like being forced to be "always connected", I'll be canceling the XBox One pre-order to complete the purchase of the PS4.

I just bought a 3 month membership to PS+.(I cannot afford to buy a 12 month membership yet). I JUST discovered all the freebies included with a PS+ membership. The games were a very nice surprise! Not junk games - games people actually want! was saving for Demon Souls, but got it FREE with my PS+ membership. Wow!! I've never gotten anything free with my XBL membership.

Microsoft needs to wake up! They are losing customers. Gamers are incensed about the policy changes and that won't just blow over. What's the old adage? Hubris cometh before the fall? (ME quoting scripture??? A sure sign we are looking at deep doo-doo!!

My XBL membership won't expire til 2015. Obviously, I am a loyal member with such a long membership!) I sincerely hope XBL continues to support Xbox 360 games, since the vast majority of my gaming library is in that format. I have over one hundred XBox 360 games (on disc) and countless digital games. I am a huge supporter of indie developers. I purchased many space based indie games; it's my favorite genre!! I went with XBox 360 bc I liked how many scifi ganes they helped develop. So I would NOT prefer to switch to Sony!!

Microsoft has its head up its arse. I was shocked to find out how many gamers are incensed like I am. They plan on switching to Sony if MIcrosoft doesn't start listening to customers. MS dismisses our anger: reducing our concerns & dismissing us as Sony Fanbois. They do so at their own peril...

How did MS go from the company that produced a ground breaking masterpiece like Freelancer to THIS?? Profits are going to their heads. Out here in the real world it takes months, even years, to save enough $ to buy a console. I am buying mine bc I have an incurable illness that causes a lot of pain. Games help me to live my life without pain controlling me. I must choose my purchases very carefully since I am so ill and my income limited.

I am no one's fanboi.

Bill---- Put Linda IN CHARGE. Only a woman can clean up the PR nightmare you guys have made!!! Your advisors have a terminal case of Rectocranial Inversion & only a woman can get you out of this one....

Just purchased PS+ need help

I downloaded uncharted 3. It took forever even though I've a very fast connection. I then sat whilst it took forever to unpack. Installed took another 20 mins, then after all that it's disappeared ? Now what makes it even more ridiculous is that I've actually gotta download it again WTF. Why isn't it just sat in my downloads. I have gotta sit for another god knows how long to download it again. Why when its unpacked does it remove itself from the HD ?

ChozenWoan3944d ago

check your games folder... once installed it goes there

iistuii3944d ago (Edited 3944d ago )

Games folder ? Where's that ? I've just got game, then scroll below its all my games/demos other folders like game data, but no games folder. It installed, then dissapeared. Crazy I know, but it's gone.

Nope, just downloaded it again. Then stalled it after the install it says please wait, then it dissapears. I have no idea.

ChozenWoan3944d ago

same thing, I just have my hud set up to put all the PSN games into a folder under the disc based game. That way I can find them all without having a long list of games to look at. I think if your in the game section and you hit "Triangle" 1-2 times it will arrange them into a folder

fardan853944d ago

you will find it in ps3 games folder.

iistuii3944d ago

Just been online & hopefully sorted it out from people who don't just disagree, they actually helped. You need the single player & multiplayer files also the movie files. Why didn't they just say so instead of offering the files separate & no explanation. I downloaded the single player, as that's what I want to play, but need all the others to play the single player. Strange.

Reverent3944d ago

Huge files like that can easily become corrupt during the download and install processes, not to mention that your console would have to be turned on for a very long time to complete it which is unhealthy for it. The files are seperated that way simply for convenience and the health of your console.

LightningSamus3944d ago

It takes long to download because you are downloading a full game which has a lot more gigabytes, it took me a long time to download Hitman because it was 17GB.

Top 10 Rarest Xbox 360 Games That Are Worth a Fortune

"And lastly, famous Boston Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling helped to create the action-RPG’s setting. What’s really fascinating, though, is that the game was partially financed by taxpayers from Rhode Island (which allegedly lost the state millions of dollars). Yikes!"

1. Now infamous Schilling
2. No allegedly, it did. And they couldn't pay it back.
3. What really lost the money wasn't the SP release but the MMO they were working on. This was supposed to be an introduction into the MMO world.

Soy266d ago

I hate counting limited editions for these lists. I mean, they're made to be rare and expensive. It's far more interesting to hear about the NCAAs (even if most people know that one already) and the El Chavos than some massive hit that came with a $200 statue at retail.

gamerz265d ago

Me too. Here's the best I can do:

El Chavo Kart $90.14
NCAA Football 14 $87.72
Spiderman: Edge of Time $75.94
Spiderman Web of Shadows $75.09
Spiderman: Shattered Dimensions $67.76

Christopher265d ago

Wow, El Chavo Kart is not at all what I expected by the name. 100% looks like a Sackboy Kart game.

Soy265d ago

It's so odd that so many Spider-Man games are seemingly given lower print runs, even if they're not the best games.

jznrpg265d ago (Edited 265d ago )

Most Xbox games don’t hold as much value compared to other systems. Kameo, Blue Dragon, Last Remnant , and a handful or 2 of other games that I kept.

Fallout 3 and Bioshock Infinite are the rarest games of all time.

8 Best Games Set In A Multiverse

One of the biggest TV and movie tropes in the last decade has been the multiverse, the idea of exploring multiple dimensions to uncover alternate versions of existing ideas. From both a business and creative perspective, it makes sense why established franchises are shaking things up in this way.

However, there aren't many video games latching on to this trend, as rendering multiple worlds in real-time is a difficult feat and the medium is relatively young in comparison to its contemporaries, making crossover opportunities more difficult. Still, there are a few great titles that manage enough to overcome these challenges, and here are some of the best examples.

While I love someone mentioning Planescape, not really multiverse. Planes and dimensions, yes. But, they are typically their own locations and are very rarely tied to another 'verse' let alone another plane. The only things that are directly tied are the ethereal and material planes. Otherwise, they are dimensions created of their own design and goals by the creator/owner and not comprised of 'their own version of another dimension'.
