PS4 Release Date Could be as Early as October

Looking at revised pre-order data from Amazon, Sony’s next console may ship well earlier than anyone expected. Over the weekend, the date for several games moved up -- to Nov. 5 in one case, and Oct. 29 in another.

I think this is another sand trap for Microsoft to fall into. The release date for the PS4 is going to be 1 of 4 dates. Nov 12th, 2013. 11th of Dec, 2013. Oct 11 2013. And finally Sept 11th 2013.

Each of these dates have 4 1's in them. There are only so many combinations of dates that have this many 1's in them.

I think Sony may release in November if Microsoft releases in October or earlier. If they choose November and beyond then SCEA will choose October.

Four translates to something similar to death in Japanese. But if you can escape death it still lingers around until it takes someone out. So far it has already struck Microsoft once. Now for the killing blow.

yeah BF3 is free on plus but he bought premium at a good deal. Thats BF3 plus all the dlc which isn't included with the plus version. But premium is on sale in the playstation store for those who want the extra maps at a discount. I wont download BF3 when the store updates but i may later as i have a few friends who has been wanting me to get the game plus i got a new mic i need to use.

The game dates are not tied to the console release date. Often you get games released for new hardware up to two weeks prior to the hardware launch. Early Nov is the most likely scenario for either console.

I recall the entire library for the PlayStation Vita launching almost two weeks before the system was available. I purchased Golden Abyss and WipeOut because I thought there would be shortages at launch.

Wii U was the same, I think. Point being, the release of games doesn't necessarily correlate with an imminent console launch-- around the same time, of course, but not ON that date.

Who in the hell in their right mind would think Sony has no games? Have you even payed attention to the last 2 generations? Nintendo and Sony hold the huge huge majority of actual big exclusives like 98%. What does Microsoft have halo,gears and forza? Those are the only thing Microsoft has and forza is pretty much always overshadowed by gran turismo. What makes you think Sony will have no games? It's already confirmed more exclusives are announced at gamescon.

Microsoft will never have the talented studios Sony does as history repeats itself. All I need to say is not one single game on Xbox has got the amount of perfect scores, media acclaim, and review acclaim as the "last of us" the only game Xbox has that was close was halo 2 ( which was a phenomenal game).

I'm no fanboy as I have owned all systems by the big 3. Their are things I like about all of them but as a GAMER when what you buy is supposed to be based on games I know I will never be disappointed with Sony and Nintendo. I don't need features to sell a console I need GAMES. Microsoft is like a 2 hit wonder with games that being halo and gears.
