I'm almost finished with my survivor+ difficulty and almost have all the single player trophies. Love The Last Of Us. I have barely used any med packs as well lol.

-Completed it in 15 hours

(Survival Difficulty)
-Completed it in 11 hours

I played the game on easy mode and had fun because it was easy.... that's what it's all about for me. Maybe next time through I will go normal mode.

Yea, a lot of people do that which is ok but i always seek for challenge in great gameplay. It makes me more satisfied when i finish it. If you really want to experience what the developers made , play the games on hardest difficulty immediately after buying them , this game is about surviving so the harder it get the better experience you get . That way you learn how to play and you actually think when you play not only watch the story..

Anyway , to each his own way to enjoy games so if you don't enjoy the challenge then it's alright. Games should be fun so anyone can play them the way they want. There is no right way to play games :P ..

ive completed it on normal and normal+ i started survivor but put it on hold to do easy+ to finish all the collectibles and upgrades.

Joke article. Seriously though, here are some of my tips (from what I experienced on my Survivor playthrough)

•You DON'T have to kill all enemies. Some areas will force you to kill all the enemies, but there are also areas where you don't even have to kill any human enemies at all (ex the building from the E3 demo... Before you fall down the elevator)

•Clickers are REALLY EASY to get by from. They won't notice you or the AI at all if you're crouching slowly. Stalkers and Runners you can't easily escape from. They can see you, so your best bet is to either try to strangle them, or go guns blazing.

•Use Bricks/Bottles and Melee combo. If you aren't already using improved Melee combats (like bat with nails, or steel pipe with shivs, which are 1-HK), you can stun the enemy by throwing a brick or bottle at it, then run straight for it and smash its head off, killing the enemy (whether it be humans or Infected, except for Bloaters) immediately.

•Shoot the glowing things on the Bloater's body. They deal extra damage to it.

•Distract the enemy by throwing a brick or bottle away from it. They won't move if the object is thrown away really far, but if it's at a reasonable distance from the enemy you're trying to distract, it WILL move, then you can either escape, or throw a Molotov at the one or many enemies that gathered to observe the noice

•Don't be afraid to use the Bow and Arrow. You'll get SOME of the arrows your shot depending on where you hit

•And probably my most important tip: Take advantage of the forgiving checkpoints. Take out half the enemies, and messed up but don't want to re-kill those enemies? Get yourself killed, and restart at the last auto save. You're not doing well, you've already wasted a lot of the ammo, just want to restart the whole fight? Press the Start button, and choose "Restart Last Encounter". You'll regain all the moves I've thought you

Seriously, theres just not enough materials or ammo but bricks and bottles are everywhere, thankfully :)
