A Look At The Rare GTA Trilogy On PS2

CGUK writes:

"With Grand Theft Auto: V due in mere months, now is the best time to relive any of the PS2-era GTA games you wish to revisit. With this in mind, we at CGUK utilized this opportunity to highlight a rare-trilogy of classic games that has shot-up in value since its 2009 release. Featuring 3 of the PS2's most controversial yet most appreciated open-world games, the GTA: Trilogy is the easiest way to grab the 3 included classics in a hurry; however, as time has had its effect, the value of this convenient package has skyrocketed since its debut 4 years ago to heights greater than its original RRP."

Not only are they not rare, they are the censored / edited versions of San Andreas and Vice City (Vice City being the version with the Haitians that have been changed from their original appearance.

RE_L_MAYER3958d ago

Lol I was gonna say we got it at wallmart

This is the PAL (european) version, as shown by the royal blue case.

Im not sure of the rarity of the PAL version, but in some occurrences PAL games are rarer than it's NTSC counterpart...

Case in point... The PS1 game "Blues Clues: Blues Big Musical" in NTSC format is common as they come, but the PAL version of this game is one of the rarest titles in the PAL PS1 Library.

ajax173958d ago

I guess it's only rare in the UK

Cam9773958d ago

The NTSC version isn't rare, it's a different story for the PAL version. Look at it on Amazon.com then take a look at it on Amazon.co.uk. See what I mean?

Lol. Rare. I have ten copies of this in my store for $9.99 a piece. We can't get rid of the things.

BozoLoco3958d ago

Rare? Even in Australia where a game with excessive farting gets banned was this trilogy pack readily available (and probably still is).

porkChop3958d ago (Edited 3958d ago )

These aren't rare at all... And you can get them for fairly cheap.

More interested in money than giving fans what they want. Such a shame

CrimsonWing691d 21h ago

With the amount of money they generated, I just don’t understand the scrubbing of this. It would’ve been fantastic for fans.

Profchaos1d 20h ago

I really want to know who drove the decision to focus on multiplayer was it Rockstar or take two.

Because when online started taking off many of the studio leads began having falling outs and leading including a founder

Ikr mfs that greedy it's ridiculous

andy851d 19h ago

This makes me sad. Trevor was one of my favourite characters in gaming

Demetrius1d 9h ago

One of the reason I believe once gta 6 release, most of us thoroughly play it, enjoy the world they crafted then after that no offline support, no dlc at all
