Allisa James and Giuseppe Nelva from DualShockers.com have a heart-to-heart discussion on Quiet, the newly introduced mute sniper that will appear in Metal Gear Solid 5, on her role as a strong female lead, on empathy, and the sexism controversy she sparked.
Whether it's showcasing damage realistically or simulating fractures and conditions, these games are worth checking out.
The Metal Gear series has sold 60.2 million copies, as of September 2023.
...and yet, they couldn't give more respect and effort into the collection.
What a terrible company.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is another rollercoaster of a game in the Metal Gear Solid series. Here's what to expect and why you need to experience it.
Amazing how bad this game looks already. We keep acting like this gen doesn't feel like an update but I think we're starting to see it.
The game started really strong in that hospital, but after a couple of hours I wondered if it was even an mgs game I was playing.
I honesty think she is more bad ass because of her lack of clothes. Who else have you heard have been tortured and jumps back in to battle the second she is released?
Her tattered garments are used to say, "The world tried it's best but I am still standing..." or at least that's what I think.....
Plus I do hope it is revealed that she was student under Sniper Wolf (or at least trained in the same regiment) and then she would move another 5 points up my list.
I think pretty much everyone's got strong female characters wrong. The average strong female character nowadays basically front-flips out of explosions weilding dual pistols and shoots everyone and kicks soldiers in the nuts, while never showing any kind of empathy.
But that's not what a strong character is. A strong character is charismatic and inspiring first and foremost. Being good at fighting is secondary
edit: well, now that I think about it, The Boss was a good strong female character
Allisa James is an idiot.
