The medias finally going to leak this piece of craps "features" onto the market. I hope their console fails, it represents everything a true gamer doesn't want.

ChozenWoan3962d ago (Edited 3962d ago )

How can anyone support a console that doesn't support the troops... THE TROOPS!!!

(cue patriotic music http://www.youtube.com/watc... )

You know those men and women putting their lives on the line so you and I can play video games in peace. Those men and women who are fighting for freedom everywhere who just want to relax and play some games in their off time. Those men and women who are securing the deep sea cables that keep the net working... yea those people need our support and to play video games even while out of port.

Support the Troops and support the console that insures their freedom to game.

#thanksps4supportingourtroops

you know they can't hook their PS4 up the military networks... it's great they can play them offline, but many military members use Xbox Live... yes... imagine that there is online connectivity on a military post... you're not going to get that in the forward possitions, but the reality is that it's probably not in your best interest to bring a 400-500 dollar console into the front lines. It's also likely that Microsoft will provide some means for the military to use Xbox Ones through their network

Enemy3962d ago (Edited 3962d ago )

It is pretty funny that Sony, a Japanese company, supports our troops more than Microsoft, an American corporation. So much for "patriotism."

Microsoft needs to leave the gaming industry and never come back. They've done nothing but damage it.

NihonjinChick3962d ago

@Cueil You do know that everybody in the military isn't on the front lines, right?

turnerdc3962d ago (Edited 3962d ago )

I don't think it's that big of a deal. Not every device made has to cater towards the military. I was actually in the Navy for 5 years (OS2(SW)) and made 3 deployments. Unfortunately my watch rotation left very little time for anything other than working and sleeping. Even if I did have more free time I don't think I would bring my console. Cramped living spaces, had to share ONE 32 inch TV between 70+ people, things that weren't secured were thrown around due to the rocking of the ship, moist environment, and theft of personal items was fairly common. I can see where people are coming from though and am not surprised that many are bothered.

NioRide3962d ago

@turnerdc

Do you know what the MWR is? Because this device is not usable at any of their locations anywhere. Simply because you need a account to play the game which means for each copy of the game they would need multiple accounts, or create 1 account per game.

At my local MWR there are about 15 40" TV's all with Ps3/360s on them, None of them are hooked up to the internet.

So really the X1 has lost a pretty large number of sales.

kreate3961d ago (Edited 3961d ago )

barracks dont have wifi.
when ur in the field, u sleep in tents.
they give u electricity. but no internet.

u can have tv, game console, sound systems hooked up. but yet again, no internet.

so xbone doesnt work for military. while offline electronics works fine.

and yes.. soldiers take consoles to the front lines (not in the traditional sense)

worrying about sleep is occasional, not the whole deployment will be sleep depraved missions.

its against regulationst to not give ur soldiers sleep continuously. or off-time.

there's lots of sitting around and waiting around in the military.

front lines in a traditional sense doesnt really exist anymore for the american military. just doesnt need to, and we wouldnt go to a war in that manner.

I am a E4 in the USMC Infantry. When i was deployed to Afghanistan or Jordan no one cared for gaming. And Im a pretty big gamer. PS1/2 and Xbox 360. When i was deployed i had other duties and responsibilities bigger then gaming. like damn we didnt have a tv or any gaming consoles when i was in a FPB. No AC No internet until the end of my deployment where the last 3 weeks of a 7 month deployment we got a good break at a FOB. Im not going to bash on Navy but they are spoiled and crying because they cant connect to the internet for a deployment . Go F yourselves. Grow up and realize there are my brothers and yours in arms that dont get to have internet to at least talk to their families back home. Myself and many other Marines are purchasing the Xbox One because of everything it brings.

NioRide3961d ago

I'm active Duty Navy for 3 years, You seem to have the entire wrong idea, because on the ship we have the same exact problem. We don't have internet, we don't have TV and we don't get days off.

ChozenWoan3961d ago (Edited 3961d ago )

So your gonna get a console that has to have a constant internet connection to show your support for the troops who dont have an internet connection at all?!?

Like NioRide and my friends in the Navy have pointed out, they don't have internet connections so they need a console that can function without one. Thus why they are backing the PS4, because the XBOne requires a stable internet connection and thus wont work on the ships.

RiPPn3962d ago

This is what happens when you declare war on retailers and consumers. Sony is going to get tons of free press by being the console of choice while Microsoft is going to have to dump buckets of money in advertising just to keep it's head above water, This is going to be fun to watch, heck it already has been!

sAVAge_bEaST3962d ago (Edited 3962d ago )

I live in a naval city,.. and have had ex-navy friends as roommates and as homies,.. They are good people,.. and they game.\

GamersRulz3962d ago

get a PS4 instead! no big deal!

I heard that PS consoles are not allowed in the military, which if this is true, then HUGE FUCKING FACEPALM!

Patriotism my @$$.

ginsunuva3962d ago

Who said PS consoles aren't allowed in the military???

GamersRulz3962d ago

I think it was interview with Major Nelson, when asked about the military issue for X1. check the full interview.

TMNT Arcade: Wrath of the Mutants review - Games Asylum

Games Asylum: "Well, this is neat. As the name suggests, Wrath of the Mutants is the rarest of things – a genuine arcade conversion. With most modern arcade games being ticket redemption machines, this is something seldom seen. In fact, the last arcade conversion we can recall was Raw Thrill’s own Cruis’n’ Blast on Switch back in 2021. This is also based on an older iteration of TMNT, harking back to the series from 2012-2017. It’s essentially breaking franchise continuity (we’ve had two different iterations of the Turtles since) and could even be considered nostalgic for a select few – those who grew up with 2012’s Turtles are probably in their late teens."
