Randy Pitchford claims they once discussed selling Borderlands 2 golden keys for real money

Any “Borderlands 2” fan knows that Gearbox Software regularly hands out SHiFT Codes for golden keys inside the popular co-op shooter. According to a comment by Randy Pitchford, the Gearbox Software President revealed that the developer has discussed the idea of selling golden keys for real money in the past. Pitchford is clearly against the idea of monetizing loot inside “Borderlands 2” as he stated, “I’m not sure I’m ready to cross that line.”

You know what I'd love for them to discuss? How about the major frame rate issue plaguing most Nividia players? If my laptop ran this game at a solid 60fps for the entirety of the main game, the dlcs and patches shouldn't ever cause it to hit below 10fps. That's just stupid.

The only thing worth the money has been the first two DLCs and Krieg.

Most of what you get from shift codes are crap weapons if you're high level. Very rarely, you'll get a nice shield or grenade mod.

BTW, don't bother with the paid hard mode unless you have a reliable slag weapon, and even that might not be enough. Enemies have health in the millions but you're stuck with marginally better weapons than that of the previous vault hunter mode...
