Watch us play The Last of Us from 7pm BST

See the demo in action tonight.

By Martin Robinson

Saturday night's alright for fighting, so the notorious welterweight Elton John told us, and he'd probably agree that Friday night's perfect for staying in and watching someone play video games on the internet. Good news Elton! You're in luck because Ian Higton's going to be playing through the demo of Naughty Dog's The Last of Us from 7pm BST.

The demo's exclusive to owners of God of War: Ascension, so if you didn't pick up that game here's a chance to see what you're missing out on. It's also a chance, of course, to have a fresh look at one of the most anticipated games of this year. You may well have seen a review online earlier in the Citizen Kane of broken embargoes, but we'll be holding fire until 3pm next Wednesday to bring you our verdict.

For those who didnt buy god of war ascension & cant play the demo, i think thats the demo they will be playing which is said to be different then the other demo's. Im not even going to play it because the game is right around the corner but hope u all enjoy it. TLOU will be bloody amazing.

Snookies123973d ago

Yeah, I've been holding off on just about all news on this game for months. That way, when I do get to play it... It'll be a complete surprise in almost every way. Can't wait! :]

ltachiUchiha3973d ago

Thats the way to go mate. Im with u on this & I know we wont be disappointed no matter how some reviews try an low blow the game. From what I seen at the reveal of this game alone made me want this game & I know ill love it. =]

Kyanu3973d ago

Same here. I also heard that the demo doesn't represent the awesomeness of the full game!

Minato-Namikaze3972d ago

Demo's can rarely represent the awesomeness of a great game.

trenso13972d ago

one thing it has shown me it use the most caution you can when you see infected.

Heisenburger3972d ago

You can tell how excited some people are for this game(myself included). I haven't read one thing about TloU or watched anything since that first demo we all saw last E3.

I'm also surprised to see so many people also staying away from the demo.

Idk. I just think it's cool that there are other people who think like me.

sik. guna watch this and fap out loud....

Haules3973d ago

Don't tell me what to do!

majiebeast3973d ago

No thanks ill be playing it myself:D

Fil1013972d ago

same here oh and GOWA is pretty kickass aswell.

Fuzrum3972d ago

Well, dammit. Uncharted, Infamous, and now this. Again I wish I had a PS3. But with PS4 only months away, this makes buying a PS3 a rather poor economic decision. I just wish PS4 was backwards compatible. That would solve this problem. :(

Minato-Namikaze3972d ago

Buy it play the games and you want and then trade in the ps3 for a PS4. Pretty sure Gamestop is gonna be having a special where if you trade in a ps3 towards the purchase of a PS4 they'll give you an extra $75 or whatever

The Last Of Us Series Has Remarkable Potential For Spin-Offs

Najam from eXputer writes "It's time fore a new installment in the series, not another pointless remaster."

anast73d ago

They are working on something new. Not to be rude but it is impossibility stupid to think ND next major announcement is going to be a remaster or their next Last of Us entry is going to be another remaster.

AlterRecs70d ago

I think this is in response to them releasing a remaster for the sequel, a game that didn't need a remaster.

Basically a "why did you put out a remaster no one asked for when you have all there options available"

anast70d ago

They remaster is to put out something quick while they are deving new stuff. I don't get how people can be so static.

AlterRecs69d ago

There's no news about a third game being in production, you're just assuming that they're working on something that they aren't

anast69d ago

When they release the news to start the hype-train, you can give me my props then.

DrDoomer73d ago

I want an alternate timeline spin-off, where part 2 never happened.

CrimsonWing6973d ago

They’ve already done Remasters of 1 and 2… what else is there to Remaster?

AlterRecs70d ago

Considering they remastered the first game twice, who knows lol

CrimsonWing6970d ago

That was a Remake. I guess they could do that to 2, but man…. They should wait a couple generations so it can look like a major upgrade.

The Last Of Us Online Devs Celebrate Their Experience With The Canceled Game

The team is sad for losing out on such a great project but celebrates its growth because of spending time on it.

Chocoburger118d ago

All they had to do was make a basic online mode like their previous games. Instead they wanted more money and choose to go live service which makes games worse in my opinion.

What a waste of time and money, what a shame.

seanpitt2373d ago

I can't wait for season 2 so they can kill Joel off in the first 2 episodes!! Then it will be just Abby and Ellies revenge plot!

Something is telling me that this won't happen though because it wouldn't make sense, oh wait

Linzoid118d ago

Not sure why they didn’t just make Factions 2. There was no need to make it a live service.

TLoU Factions was a great addition such a shame they couldn’t be bothered to remaster that for PS5 considering the crazy high price tag of the remaster of a remaster…

anast117d ago

This is something to be celebrated. This studio is smart and they get it, even factions 2 wouldn't've have been worth the time. I am surprised they didn't just remaster the first one though, but actually how popular was Factions?
