What does the Xbox One mean for Wii U?

You would have thought that with such a powerful console (seemingly at least), it would be easy to impress people. Yet Microsoft still managed to screw up their reveal, instead leaving punters entirely confused about what the future holds. This is a Nintendo website of course and the first question on Nintendo fans' minds is: 'what does this mean for me?'

Got to admit that I chuckled. It's funny how things change around here from time to time. Last week it's WiiU is doomed. This week it's Xbox is doomed. I'm sure next week something else will be on the chopping block. The fact of the matter is everyone will be okay.

The Xbox One, means nothing, nothing at all to Wii U. Wii U is for people who want to play games, and does allot of the same stuff they showed smartphones/tablets doing on, oh wait for it, the GAMEPAD...yeah its a GAMEPAD.

Lets wait for E3 to see all 3 companies plan before any outcome can be determined, I believed. If Nintendo will have a price drop, shows off a new 3D Mario, Mario Kart, or maybe even Zelda or a new Metroid, then I have no doubt Nintendo will be just fine because it is still the cheapest console of the bunch and everyone loves Mario.

MS, on the other hand, better bring the games and concentrate mostly on core games at E3 to have any hope of getting the Core gamers attention; especially after the "What of God's Green Earth were they thinking" showing a couple days ago and clarify their plan for mandatory internet connection and used game trading/selling before they can somewhat redeemed itself; otherwise, it might be to late. E3 will be there only shot, if they failed, oh my lord, it is going to be disastrous for MS as a whole.

For Sony, I just need them to confirm that online is not mandatory and that used games trading/selling are just like what it is today and they will win the war, easily.

I am betting on Sony to come out on Top and MS/Nintendo will fight for second place depending on their respective scenarios above.

As soon as Nintendo announces a new Mario, Zelda, Smash Bros, and Mario Kart all this doom and gloom talk will end. I'm personally not a huge fan of those games but they sell systems. I bet most if not all of those titles will be announced at E3.

It means there are still three consoles to choose from, I have a Wii U, and will be getting the Xbox One when it launches, I think as gamer's a lot of us like more than one console so we can play exclusives ect... I believe Nintendo has some of the best exclusives in the business, which is why I always get a Nintendo console.

Right now it means nothing. Nintendo still has to show me some games. Which i know they will. Its also perfect timing since MS fuck up reveal. Still, although I was expecting alot more of a reveal that was pushed back a month for nothing, i still have a feeling that MS will have some good games at E3!

Wiiu is no longer doomed and stands to be very successful alongside ps4. So glad I got mine at launch and can't wait to get my ps4 and have the best of both worlds.

Go Sony and Nintendo. Show Microsoft how a "game" console should be.
