Eric Hirshberg Believes Call Of Duty: Ghosts On Xbox One 'Is Stunning Leap Forward'

Forbes - A big part of the Microsoft Xbox One Reveal in Redmond, Washington today was the unveiling of Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty: Ghosts to the world. I was able to see the game last week at a pre-E3 event with Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg, who took the stage today at Microsoft’s headquarters to unveil the new game. Activision has big plans for its biggest franchise, and the game demo promises a next generation of shooting action with even more Hollywood influences (thanks, in part, to the involvement of acclaimed director Stephen Gaghan on the new game).

Hirshberg said people have been asking for years now how long can Call of Duty last and whether or not this franchise is ever going to crest. The only “problem” is (and it’s not a problem for Activision, but perhaps for other publishers) that the franchise continues to grow.

It's nice to see a game developer not shooting a dog for a change.

he must have seen some other footage,
what i saw was a little bland for true nextgen bs they where shoveling.

The cod was 4,this was crap all the hype and looks no different not even art style wise.

finbars753986d ago

Anybody who disagrees with you obvisouly only plays COD and no other. The game looked almost the exact as the others. The only difference where the character models where more cleaned up and thats it.Its time for you guys to open your eyes and try to relize after all these years that its always going to be same.If I want to play a game with a dog I will just but dead to rights retribution.COD Ghost so original more like garbage like the other ones.

i agree it didn't look that good and from what we saw from the trailer on there zoomed in faces it didn't look that good at all. I can see they added things like dynamic maps Battlefield, Halo 2,leaning out (taken from medal of honer) and sliding which ive seen in crysis. New to the series but not really innovative or new to gaming in general. I wonder how it will impact the gameplay though. Will camping reach new heights now that you can lean out of corners?

IMO Battlefield 4 looked way better.

Look, to be honest the FTC should just stop.

MS has A/B and nothing has really changed yet...if you are worried about 5-10 years from now...just drop it cause the future is unpredictable.

Take this week's news, that 4 Xbox exclusive are going Multiplatform.

That day when Activision fired Jason and Vince

“Jason and Vince just got fired!” A lead artist shouted, as he rode in on one of the many small kick-push scooters that would typically lay around the studio. He quickly scooted away to some other part of the office space to spread that shocking message.

Activision would say that to all their victims. Here’s money now get over it.

A friend worked there in production and was miserable due to working with IW and with ATVI. When he complained to his VP about it, he was told...be glad you have a job and are making games.

mastershredder71d ago

Sounds about right, but is also sounds like something Infinity Ward would say. They made their own bed and cashed in hard to do it. F em.

franwex71d ago

That sucks, but that’s corporate America. I mean, they could’ve turned down the money and leave to Respawn too. At least they got something, my corporation would’ve probably expected everyone to go back to normal.
