I mean they pretty much killed 3 big characters. They killed Jeanne, Luka and Bayonetta herself and it's not the fact they died it's how they died, we've seen Jeanne and Bayonetta survive countless things yet they go out by the lamest ways possible.

How can we work it so that Mario has a weird blue hedgehog for a cosin. Then they can make a super mario family (instead of bros) game.
Nintendo and sega are getting along good lately. Wonder if a merger of sorts could happen in the future and result in a new home console with Nintendo's and sega's biggest franchises exclusive to it. Then costs would be cut and profits would be made having such big names together on one console.
Sonic on wii u= alot of sells. Sega knows it, nintendo knows it.
