Watch Dogs May Become Ubisoft’s Next Big Franchise

Gi - E3 2012 was fairly underwhelming, many developers showed off games that everyone knew about and Nintendo trotted out their next-gen Wii U, but nothing had a visceral feel to it. Unlike prior iterations of the gaming conference, there seemed to be no true surprises. The current console cycle was entering its final hurrah and despite some impressive parting salvos from Sony, it was all games that had been talked about and seen before. There was one exception though and that came from Ubisoft. Among their new entries to popular franchises including Assassin’s Creed 3, they officially unveiled their new IP, Watch_Dogs. From the brilliant and startling introduction video that boldly claimed that “Data is interconnected” and the game’s tagline “everything is connected. connection is power” to the breath taking gameplay demo, Watch_Dogs was a startlingly pleasant surprise.

I really hope so,this game looks phenomenal

Agreed, this WILL be a day 1 for me

Though I don't tink this will be a franchise because there can't be a WatchDogs 2 unless the storyline is a cliffhanger or watch dogs 2 is set deifferently, but this will be a big game for ubisoft

Well you know it makes sense to try and make these kind of games that can become big franchises, because games like AC which keeps coming out and makes a ton of money..

It's better for the company, then trying to make some half-ass game and hoping it catches on, and sells a few copies.. Like Call of Juarez The Cartel -(that game was a serious turd)

I much rather see a studio go really hard on a title and put a lot of work into the game -swing for the fence so to speak- and make something that looks and plays really good, and something gamers will appreciate...

So weather it turns out to be good or not, I'm getting it because it looks like they really put a lot of work into it -(and tried to make a really Amazing game)

This one looks like it's going to be good..

Ubisoft's Recent Antics Have Me Fearful For The Sands of Time Remake

Hanzala from eXputer: "With Ubisoft's practices becoming increasingly anti-consumer lately, the destruction of The Sands of Time Remake looks almost inevitable."

Hey Ubi, here's a gun, don't shoot yourself in the foot.

*Ubi takes gun, aims at foot, empties clip*

At this point, only dummies have any hope left for Ubi-junk games.

Every industry has these issues

Some companies I’ve worked for were great and some were toxic as hell (UPS when I was a teenager was extremely toxic and I have heard it still is) It all starts at the top. They either hold people accountable , set standards and treat people with respect or the crap rolls downhill.
