CheatCC says: "Publisher and developer Bethesda Softworks has put one of the more unlikely underdogs in the spotlight with the announcement of a new Wolfenstein title. The next installment in the series, Wolfenstein: The New Order, will be developed by MachineGames, and on id Tech 5 at that. Admittedly, and largely due to my pleasant experience with the Tomb Raider reboot, I’m quite happy to hear that the old-school shooter will be seeing a next-gen reimagining. The title is set to release for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, and next generation consoles, and with id Tech 5 under the hood, Bethesda has power on their side. However, behind the pretty logos and fan-servicing statements, is there an innate doom on The New Order?"
Like the film or television industry, the world of gaming has seen its fair share of reboots over the years. While some of these video game reboots have had
Xbox Game Pass Quests recently reset for the month of September. So if you try to collect as many Microsoft Rewards points as possible, there's a new set available now.
BLG writes, "There can be only one best Wolfenstein game. Since the franchise’s debut in 1981, the Wolfenstein series has graced our gaming platforms for over forty years. It’s hard to believe, but it’s true! In honor of that legacy, we’re going to list some of the best Wolfenstein games and the worst. That’s right: it’s the Wolfenstein games ranked."
Scheiße! Nein.
Return to Castle Wolfenstein is the best in the series. After that:
New Order
New Colossus
Old Blood
I really wish they'd remake Return to Castle Wolfenstein from the ground up. Easily the best of them all.
They must have enjoyed Terminator movies
I was hoping that ID would develop it. Nonetheless, I'm looking forward to it!
Not interested , i can only see it being crap or average in the end , without ID software behind it .
And quite frankly yeah , unless the franchise does a 180 or 360 , and focus on something unheard of in the serie , the world doesnt need yet another generic nazi zombie shooter .
It's even ridiculous now when games like cod (sigh...) are proposing a better experience in their zombie mode , than all of the ps3/360 era wolf titles .
You are missing the fact they used Jimi Hendrix in the trailer. Obviously Machine Games show some class.
RTCW SP and MP was fantastic, ET was and still is a very popular online game. 2009 Wolfenstein was odd.
Always thought Turning Point: Fall of Liberty story line would have been another great Wolfenstein game (alternate universe with Hitler winning) but actual gameplay was utterly crap.
Will be interesting to see which path they take for the next version
