To this day rogue squadron on the N64 is still my favourite star wars game. Couldnt honestly tell you why. Think it may be the perfect difficulty level whilst keeping true to the essence of the films.

My list of favorite Star Wars games will always include the Rogue Squadron series, Battle Front series & Shadows of the Empire. SOTE the game came out when I was 12 & at the time I didn't really like the Star Wars franchise but I was blown away by the trailers anyway and I had to have it. That game made me a fan. I couldn't get enough of Star Wars after that.
