There’s been a lot of talk that the new Xbox 720 and PS4 are going to take this generation of consoles by storm. The Wii U may not be blowing gamers away, but it can still hold its own. Here are 4 claims that the Wii U can make that the Xbox 720 and PS4 can’t.
Hanzala from eXputer: "The cruel hammer of Nintendo has fallen. Farewell, 3DS and Wii U, you surely brightened my life and many others; you won't be forgotten."
A new list goes over eight of the the most useless amiibo, ranging from the Shadow Mewtwo card to the Qbby figure.
VGChartz's Mark Nielsen: "10 years. It’s been almost 10 years since the last mainline release in the Mario Kart series. Mario Kart 8 came out for the Wii U in 2014 and became the best-selling game for the system by a sizeable margin, and later pulled the same magic trick on the Nintendo Switch under the stage name Deluxe. All in all, it's sold nearly 70 million copies over the last decade and is still selling like hot cakes to this day, so it’s no wonder Nintendo has been in no rush to replace it. However, with rumors of a new system being just around the corner, and reports a few years back that a new Mario Kart is indeed under way, it seems the era of 8 might very well be drawing to a close. It’s an exciting prospect to be sure, but after two Nintendo systems with Mario Kart 8 at their heart, a lot of questions remain about how Nintendo will choose to follow it up."
I hope they just keep building on Mario Kart 8; Add a track-creation tool, and probably open it up to more Nintendo IPs with new tracks and characters, so Metroid, Punch Out, Starfox, Animal Crossing, etc etc.
there wont be a new one until the switch 2 comes out.
nintendo needs their bangers early on
" I don’t want to be bothered with a share button, I just want to play games."
Well, that button won't prevent you from playing games if you don't want to use it...
1. Headstart console curse. Wii didn't win the 7th Gen because it came out first,it won because it DIDN'T! No console won in sales because it came out first.
2. That is until later down the line when they remove it in a later revision like the Wii Family Edition and Wii Mini, or like in the DSi and DSi XL (what, you thought it was only Sony that did that? sheesh, you guys...)
3. A button... really...
4. Nintendo has the MOST retro games on it's Virtual Console, but it's not exactly a monopoly on that front, know what I mean?...
They left out the most important one.
Ninty exclusives.
I really wonder what the author has against the share button. The reasoning that was given was just too poor to take serious.
Why do you hate the share button, it's not like we are required to use it. It won't stop you from playing the games on it.
