Push Square: "The mere suggestion of Soul Sacrifice selling its spirit to the PlayStation 4 in yesterday’s Talking Point pushed some posters into a Black Rite-esque fury. Their argument: the PlayStation Vita needs exclusive games if it is to reverse its current retail predicament. It’s a fair response – Sony’s flagship handheld has certainly struggled to summon a software catalogue of its own since launch. But wasn’t the promise of cross platform games the foundation upon which the handheld was constructed?"
While gamers usually take notice of the mainline missions, these 5 side quests deserve more widespread attention for how entertaining they are.
Final Fantasy 7 has come back under the spotlight thanks to the release of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, but is it worth replaying the original?
Very much so. Graphically it's dated but the story and the gameplay haven't aged a day. It's still one of my all time favourite RPGs and for me is better than Remake in some ways.
Uncover secrets, defeat challenging bosses, and upgrade your arsenal in these exciting Metroidvania titles on the PlayStation Vita.
some cross-platform games are fine just dont make it alot of times
the vita really need is its own exclusives to make an identity of its own
they can make the same games for ps3/vita or ps4/vita but make each others game unique and with different content
for example ubisoft's assassins creed 3 for consoles and assassins creed 3 liberation exclusively for the vita, same game franchise but with different story altogether ^_^
this is something the vita needs
and some very unique games that cant be played in any other platform, not a spin-off but pure original (gravity rush, tearaway are examples)
Come on, who can complain about taking a game on holiday then returning home with the ability to experience it on a bigger screen?
I honestly wish MORE games were cross-platform. There are some games I'd just rather play on my Vita then and on my PS3, and vise versa.
I'm pretty old school and did like that handheld games were completely different from console games. I would like the vita to have its own games, but I do see how it can be nice to take your game on the go. The only problem with the latter is that, well, I'd rather just buy 1 system (ps3/4) to play that game on the big screen.
Vita's cross-play shouldn't be at the forefront of what the vita can do. It should be it's own exclusive games that makes it its own must have system.
I like them since they give gamers options, do gamers want to play sly 4 on the go with the vita or on the big screen at home. Vita already has some exclusives like gravity rush, ac liberation, uncharted,p4g,soul sacrifice, more are coming and Sony should be announcing some new ones soon as well.
