PS4 Possible Earlier October Launch with 2 Game Titles, Watch Dogs and Beyond: Two Souls

Almost everyone's ready for the next-gen console releases, slated for somewhere around November and in time for the holidays, but it seems that one console may be looking for an earlier release.

This comes from a supposed message in one of Naughty Dog, developer of the likes of Uncharted, has left in-game. What is noticeable is the date "October 17, 2013" n the US format, tagged with the words "Mandatory Evacuation Notice," reports Expert Reviews.

This has not yet been confirmed by Sony, and considering how the company has been keeping the details of the reveal and release dates of its PS4 console close to the chest, it will probably remain a speculation.

i'm very sure sony is working very hard to bring out the ps4 asap.
having it on store shelf's for even a month or two before the competition could give it massive sale's boost

An October launch date with 2 games? Come on that's not even right and you know it. The release date is nice but the game selection is weak. What about Infamous, Driver Club Killzone?

A man was hoping for something new rather than this LoU date. A man hopes for an October release date and he thinks that would be best for the company. Get the big surge of early adopters (or part of them) out of the way pre-BF clearing the stores for the moms and pops to get the system for their kids without having to spend a thousand dollars on Ebay. A man looks back at PS2 release to see how much this helped. The people will line up day 1 regardless, but just when launch sales start to drop you hit the holiday season and get 3+ million out by 2014.

This would place them in a great position. They'd capture the attention of the market and a great number of sales from launch and then Black Friday blitz all the way into Xmas will definately cement the console with having a successful launch. It seems like US and Europe are gonna get the PS4 this year. And it doesn't seem as off there will be any supply constraints! So this launch will be the greatest PS console in a long while!

Honestly not surprised. After knowing that Assasin's Creed, Watch Dogs and maybe Beyond two souls would have next gen console ports I Knew an October release date is planned. Psyched because since they're coming to next Gen the launch line up seems to be amazing. I'm planning for Watch Dogs, Beyond, Killzone and Infamous for my first batch of next gen games. This Holiday season is going to be great to be a gamer.

It's very possible, but unlikely. I would date the PS4 (UK) launch between late Nov & Early December.

If the PS4 did hit retail worldwide Oct, then that would be an amazing achievement for Sony.

1 extra month or so is nothing after 6-7 very good years of PS3, should it not launch in Oct.

Lol I'll shake my fists in the air if they priced it like that. These gift cards are burning a hole in my pocket. Every week I'm checking the ads for deals just to warrant a purchase lol. The sooner the PS4 comes out, the better so I don't splurge it all on nothing.

I promised myself I would never buy a launch system again, since usually in a couple of years better deals/new models come out. But the way the ps4 is coming along with all this great news and the positive feedback surrounding it, I mite cave in and buy it.
