The 25 Greatest Voice Acting Performances In Video Games

Complex - Videos games have changed significantly since they started to make their mark over 43 years ago. With the evolution of video games also came more of a focus on telling a better story. To do that, video game developers incorporated voice actors into their games to bring them more life. Some performances went down in history as some of the best. Think, Carmilla Luddington as young Lara Croft in the latest Tomb Raider as being one of those sparkling moments while others like 50 Cent as himself in Bulletproof totally missed the mark.

One of my favorites will forever be John DiMaggio. He perfectly encapsulates Wakka from FFX, and his voice will always be known as Bender Bending Rodríguez in my heart.

Simon Templeman as Kain is incredible! It's a shame he is so underrated.

Though all of Soul Reaver's voice acting is really well done.

No Nolan North is a fail in my book. But I have to agree that David Hayter is certainly worthy of the top spot.

He's there...at like 11 behind a bunch of people who's appearance on this list is questionable... Even though they're pretty much the same voice, his Spec Ops character should be there as well.

Tony Jay is the elder god from Legacy of Kain
Andy Serkis as King Bohan was amazing.
Mark Meer as Commander Shepard instead of Jennifer Hale

Nolan North wayyy to far down the list. Cortanna being on the list. John Marsten and CJ? WTF? No Troy Baker?

This is Complex so I'm guessing the list will be anything but. Looks like a popularity contest.

What about Michael Shapiro as G-Man?

He spoke less than ten minutes of dialogue in the last three Half life titles and yet he's still one of most memorable characters ever. He definitely deserves a spot on that list .

I would also include Fred Tatasciore, who voiced Saren from ME1 and Damon Baird from the gears games.
