Fighting game Darkstalkers Resurrection hasn't sold well enough to be considered successful, Capcom has admitted.
While Capcom hasn’t given much love to the Darkstalkers fighting game series in the past several years, Japanese figure manufacturers haven’t forgotten.
I wish Capcom would take a chance and bring out a new Darkstalkers game.
Maybe this is a way to see if people want more from this franchise and hopefully after this comes out, Capcom will bring a new game out.
I half expected them to make one with the Street Fighter IV engine, then the Street Fighter V engine. I'd be happy if we get a new entry but I'm keeping my expectations low that it will ever happen.
Well they were, but due to the poor sales of the Darkstalkers HD collection they pulled the plug. Same thing happened to Zone of the Enders 3. Nobody bought the HD Remasters, so they pulled the plug on the 3rd.

Darkstalkers definitely. I'd prefer a 2D extravaganza. If not, using the SF Engine would still be great.

If we can get Capcom to go the Arc Systems route in graphics with Darkstalkers, but make it a little more gritty and dark but with that anime flare I would be full on board.

The free PlayStation Plus games for July are Until Dawn and Game of Thrones. Also included are Tokyo Jungle, Darkstalkers Resurrection, Element4l, and Don’t Die, Mr. Robot.
Additionally, from July 4 through October 24 all PlayStation Plus members can get That’s You in celebration of PlayLink’s launch. That’s You sets you off on a journey of discovery with up to five of your friends and family, where you can find out what you really think about each other.
WARNING: I've played Until Dawn, if you like teenagers with big mouths and what I can only describe as hateful personalities with punchable faces, you will love it.
I fortunately am not a teenager I'm all grown up and have son's who are now (apart from the youngest) teenagers and luckily we taught them not to be dismissive, hateful b@st@rds to others.
This game while brilliant in it's gameplay features characters I would happily see murdered over and over again.
However there is a silver lining for those of you who might have the same reaction as I did. You can play with an attempt to get certain people killed which based on the teens in this, is nothing short of joyous.

I have to say I'm impressed with PS4's free game line up. My husband stopped paying for the PS+ but I think he may revisit that decision in a month or so.
However he is sat across the room playing Rise of the Tomb Raider 20 year Anniversary edition (nice book that came with it btw) and he had said this and I'm typing it verbatim.
"Oh my god this game is AMAZING, it is better than all of the Uncharted Games INCLUDING Uncharted 4".
Now I've had a go at Uncharted and while I'm a bit shite at it I will admit that it was brilliant, however I never thought I'd hear my hubby diss uncharted in favour of Tomb Raider.
Just goes to show, everyone's got an opinion.

got nothing to do with "being a teenager", the game is exactly like an old school campy horror movie with all its cliche and thats totally assumed, so cut the "but me? im too grown up so yeah..." non sense.
the game is simply superb, and the cast is PERFECT! im 34, not too old for that, never will.
From what I've played it's one of the best horror games ever, and the graphics are amazing. Can't wait!
@PeaSFor It's nothing like a campy horror as you called it. The Game mechanics are brilliant BUT the characters are fundamentally unlikeable. Hence my enjoyment at seeming them murdered.
Funny thing though, your "BLAH BLAH BLAH" comment is the same thing 3 of the characters in the game would say. I don't care if you're 34 or 14, it's nothing to do with age but attitude and a self entitled arseholery (think I invented a new word) that comes across. However the attitude is most prevalent in teen drama, teen horror etc etc etc.If my boys behaved like that in public they'd be grounded for a month.
I'm only 41 BUT I would have had the same reaction at 15. I knew people like these character in school and they are still detestable to this day.

Ps plus games on PS3 were a 100x better than what we get for PS4. I could let it go when PS4 just launched not enough games to sustain it been over 4 yrs we should be getting at least launch titles by now.
This is what I want to see more off not backwards compatibility or cross play but just some cool free games to check out. Sony step your game up

Until Dawn is a great party game. My neighbors come over and after grilling food and grabbing drinks one of us plays while everyone else is watching and shouting what to do or not do. Its hilarious. The wives and girlfriends are screaming and the guys are laughing.
And no one in the room is under 30 and they are having a blast.
Right.. great month. Sony has given us 3 good months in a row now. Looks like they are back on track. All those gamers who cancelled their PSPlus subscription may want to give it another shot.
Who are all these gamesr who cancelled there PS+? What are you basing that statement on?
@tyasia0: To be fair I've been seeing quite a lot of comments on N4g, the PS Blog PS Plus articles for game updates and the YouTube videos whenever Plus games are announced.
XanderZane isn't wrong here, loads of people have made statements about being glad they didn't renew their subscriptions to Plus. IMO the games being added since PS4 launched have made my subscription worthwhile, especially when I was strapped for cash or I just wanted to play something different to the usual crop of stuff I would normally buy.
I almost bought Until Dawn cheap on Amazon the other week, glad I get to play it now.
I've bought quite a few games lately, as I've got some great deals, glad I didn't get Until Dawn by accident, great to see this being added.

All the people who comment every month "more garbage, I'm cancelling my PS+ subscription! (yet again)" Needless to say, I doubt very many of them actually cancel.
I cancelled my subscription awhile back and while it is a great month much better than xbox I won't be restarting it. I'd rather just buy Until Dawn than pay a monthly subscription to be allowed to play it.

The last 3 months of PSPlus has been great. I never cancelled. My subscription is good until the end of the year. Very happy to finally be able to play Until Dawn.
Bought until dawn for $8 in January. My favourite PS4 exclusive so far. Good game
Mine is between bloodborne and ratchet and clank. Granted I've yet to get started on nier.
Good deal. Not going to buy it now, since it will be FREE this month. Watch to get Persona 5 for a good deal though. Already have Horizon Zero Dawn & Uncharted 4.

Yeah.. Microsoft kind of dropped the ball for July after have 4 great months in a row. I'm not mad though. Hopefully it will be better in Aug.
PS+ Asia already had Until Dawn as free game before I don't know what kind of game we would get this month.
Finally a decent full retail game. Hopefully that's a sign of things to come, it's been too long.

I thought 3rd party titles sold well on the PS360?
I'm not being serious, though it goes that show even 3rd party titles can underperform on the PS36O. Publishers, developers, and gamers with bias towards Nintendo, need to realize that there are a number of factors as to why certain titles don't sell well.
the reason for slow sale is a lot of people got tired of crapcom games now most likely majority of fans is waiting for the ultimate arcade blah blah blah edition
I only speak for myself but if the Capcom name is anywhere on a game I don't buy it. I don't like their business practices and I choose not to give them my money.
I wonder if people are purchasing less PSN titles due to the PS4 not being BC.
