How Many Platinum Trophies Do You Have, and Which One Are You Most Proud Of?

The beauty with trophies is that they keep you playing a game until well after you beat it the first time through, with the pursuit of a Platinum being the ultimate goal. So, we decided to ask the PlayStation LifeStyle staff – “How Many Platinum Trophies Do You Have, and Which One Are You Most Proud Of?” - PSLS

2 Plats Dynasty warriors 7 and Warriors Orochi 3.Proud of both cuz it takes some damn grinding to do it.

xHeavYx4026d ago

Not a big fan of going for Plats, so I got an easy one (Infamous 2)

piroh4026d ago

Uncharted 1
Uncharted 2
Uncharted 3
God of War 3
Motorstorm Apocalypse
Dead Nation
LittleBigPlanet 2
Hot Shot Golf Vita

it´s like with your children, you loves them all, but especially i´m proud of HSG Vita cause it´s the only japanese game of them. japanese games are really hard, you have to do "albatross"

Aery4026d ago

Awesome game Infamous 2.

My plat ? A lot.
My favorite ? Killzone 2.

Campy da Camper4026d ago

Getting all shards in Infamous 1 almost cost me my sanity. Have plat for both games and 100% in festival of blood.

M-Easy4026d ago

How many plats do I have hmm??? Lets see http://psntrophyleaders.com...
Out of my plats my most proudest beside my 2 MAG plats will be the one I'm working in now, Madden 13. The trophies in that game are a project.

guitarded774026d ago

@ M-Easy

DAMN SON!!! You iz a lot of platinum.

I have 4... inFAMOUS, AC2, Terminator and Spare Parts.

I was gonna have Heavy Rain, but my FAT PS3 died and I lost my save file, so I have to start over one day.

Platinums make you feel good, but I'm not very committed, and end up flipping games all the time. The online trophies piss me off.

oONinjavitiSOo4026d ago

I hate to say I have ZERO lol. I'm lvl 13 with a little over 1300 trophies. My problem is my interest in a game over a long period of time. Although only 3 or 4 trophies left to get in Ragnarok odyssey on the vita so that might be my first platinum.

NukaCola4025d ago

Fallout 3 was my first so its still my favorite.

Haha, I have 20 and my proudest ones are THE SABOTEUR, Demon's Souls and AC:Brotherhood. If you want some serious "grinding" try THE SABOTEUR & GRAND THEFT AUTO IV. IV's MP trophy, "Auf Wiedersehen Petrovic" was just cruel and THE SABOTEUR's collectible trophy required the player to storm Paris to destroy over 1300 Nazi installations. I hate grinding.

BlackTar1874026d ago

i got those two and the game saboteur was very fun and good and was underrated and under appreciated.

Great fun game to burn time.

GameSpawn4026d ago (Edited 4026d ago )

Loved Saboteur, didn't mind the grinding. Congrats on GTA4 due to the multiplayer trophy; unless you get paired with those attempting to get the trophy, everyone tends to act like a d-bag and just run around not caring at all about the co-op mission.

Myself:
12 Platinums
88 Golds
314 Silvers
1335 Bronzes
1749 Total
Trophy Level 14

Platinum List (not in order of accomplishment):
Assassin's Creed II
Demon's Souls
Heavy Rain
InFamous
InFamous 2
Jak & Daxter: The Precursor Legacy
Just Cause 2
Metal Gear Solid 3
Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time
Sly 1
Sly 2
The Saboteur

Which am I most proud of? Well I'm split between both InFamous'es and Demon's Souls, but lean a bit more toward Demon's Souls. The only thing that made both InFamous'es hard to get is the damned Skill Challenges where you take down enemies in specific ways (both games had challenges that required pure freaking luck most of the time). Demon's Souls was only hard due to the amount of time required.

Beware a few that I have are deceptive, Sly 2 and Ratchet specifically. Sly 2 is a pain because there are a few levels that are just plain broken and require some luck to finish (Sly 3 is worse, Jak 2 and Jak 3 also have some tough spots). Ratchet is fine until you need to get "My Blaster Runs Hot" which is nigh impossible by yourself (bit easier with two players in co-op).

H0TSHELLZ4026d ago

I got every Uncharted Platinum, But i would have to say COD WaW is my Fav since it was my first, O by the way I have every COD Platinum. Most Recent Far Cry 3 and Spec ops: the Line............yeah i like shooters.

Jensen4025d ago

spec ops was awesome! ... except i hated that difficulty ... -_-"

UnwanteDreamz4026d ago

Fav is BFBC2 cause so many of my friends missed it. Destruction 2.0

monkey6024025d ago

Destruction 2.0 was a pain. I must have died a hundred times for every kill I finally got through destruction ha. Everybody just knew the building was about to fall

Prcko4026d ago

Red Dead Redemption
favorite game of this gen :)

Wedge194026d ago

RDR is a tough one, good job! I don't have that one because of the multiplayer.

TheFirstClassic4026d ago

Same here. Only one I have is Demon's Souls and I'm pretty happy about that one.

Nevers4026d ago

I only have the plat for Demon's Souls as well, lol.

smashman984026d ago

13 and Im most proud of Demon's Souls

ftwrthtx4026d ago

One of the hardest ones out there. Good job.

Cam9774026d ago

It depends. If they cheated and received Pure Bladestone from somebody else then it isn't hard at all. Alternatively, if they painstakingly mine the said ore themself then it is hard. I went with the latter and I'm proud.

Viper74026d ago (Edited 4026d ago )

If you got it from somebody, you used your social skills to obtain one of the rarest items in the game.

Grinding however isn't hard, it's more of "an act of endurance" (not act of skill). Many people already do such feats in their everyday lifes if their work is monotonous.

Why o why4026d ago (Edited 4026d ago )

Top man,

I think gow 3 was my hardest as playing it on the hardest setting was tough. I swear it took me ages to beat the first boss.....I was like fcuk if this is boss 1 how hard are the others gunna be.

There was also a tough part when you're fighting waves of enemies on the floating block or lift thing. I had to keep it moving,

Oh finding the very last shard on infamous....I was looking for days and it was the last thing needed for my platinum. You shoulda seen my expression when I spotted it. Anger mixed with relief

Lord_Sloth4026d ago

About the same number and I have the Demon's as well but I'm probably most proud of the Dead Space 2 plat.

sikbeta4026d ago (Edited 4026d ago )

Mother of God! Demon Souls! no way I'll ever plat that game

O-T

1st: Drake's Fortune
2nd: Dead Nation + Road of Devastation
3rd: GOW
4th: inFAMOUS

E: next one I really want to plat is MGS4 0.0

Wedge194026d ago

Too many (72), and I still can't rest. I've got a disease, and the only cure.... is more Platinums. Only from decent games that I actually want to play though. I won't stoop to the levels of people that will play Hannah Montana just for one extra platinum trophy. I have actually wanted to play everything that I have platinumed, no matter how terrible it ended up being.

Knushwood Butt4025d ago

Now that you mention it, interesting how not a single person in this thread has fessed up to having the Hannah Montana plat though!

fsfsxii4026d ago

12, most proud of is Arkham City
Also, who ever got GT5 plat is a racing game GOD

I'm Replaying Skyrim (again), and So Should You

Replaying Skyrim after 13 years is a reminder of the progress made in western RPGs over the last decade, but also what's been lost.

anast13d ago

I tried, but it's a poorly made game that insults its customers.

lucian22913d ago

nah, only mods make it decent, and even then it's bad, and this is after i modded for at least 3 years

Nittdarko13d ago

Funnily enough, I'm about to play it for the first time in VR with 1000 mods to make the game playable, as is the Bethesda way

The 7 Best Western RPGs: Immersive Adventures

RPGs are often huge, sprawling endeavours. With limited playtime, we have to choose wisely, so here's the best western RPGs available today.

SimpleSlave13d ago

"I started playing games yesterday" the List... Meh!

How about a few RPGs that deserve some love instead?
1 - Alpha Protocol - Now on GOG
2 - else Heart.Break()
3 - Shadowrun Trilogy
4 - Wasteland 2
5 - UnderRail
6 - Tyranny
7 - Torment: Tides of Numenera

And for a bonus game that flew under the radar:
8 - Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden

DustMan13d ago

Loved Alpha Protocol in all it's glorious jank. Great game.

SimpleSlave13d ago (Edited 13d ago )

Not only glorious jank, but the idea that the story can completely change depending on what you do, or say, or side with, makes it one of the most forward thinking games ever. The amount of story permutation is the equivalent of a Hitman level but in Story Form. And it wasn't just that the story changed, no, it was that you met completely new characters, or missed them, depending on your choices. Made Mass Effect feel static in comparison.

Alpha Protocol was absolutely glorious, indeed. And it was, and still is, more Next Gen than most anything out there these days. In this regard at least.

Pity.
