Twinfinite: “War may never change, but the prices of rare games do!”
"And lastly, famous Boston Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling helped to create the action-RPG’s setting. What’s really fascinating, though, is that the game was partially financed by taxpayers from Rhode Island (which allegedly lost the state millions of dollars). Yikes!"
1. Now infamous Schilling
2. No allegedly, it did. And they couldn't pay it back.
3. What really lost the money wasn't the SP release but the MMO they were working on. This was supposed to be an introduction into the MMO world.
I hate counting limited editions for these lists. I mean, they're made to be rare and expensive. It's far more interesting to hear about the NCAAs (even if most people know that one already) and the El Chavos than some massive hit that came with a $200 statue at retail.
Most Xbox games don’t hold as much value compared to other systems. Kameo, Blue Dragon, Last Remnant , and a handful or 2 of other games that I kept.
I miss Rapture...it gave the right kind of vibe for Bioshock. Dark and moody. While Columbia was awesome and the world was near flawless, I think it was to bright on the surface, and I know it held a darkness to it, I felt it just didn't impact me like Rapture. Kudos to the developers once again though.
I absolutely loved bioshock. So much so that bioshock 2 is also in my top 5 this gen (story not as good but gameplay is better). Anyway I didn't think they could do it again, especially in a bright open space...but they did. Levime said he chose this to force them not to rely on environment to convey the feeling. From the opening Beast of America all the way through, it is almost flawless. I have never been in 2 worlds that are so well done that u feel like u know the place and the people. The combat of Infinite isn't revolutionary but its better than anything since bioshock. No other fps gives u this number of tools at ur disposal. I spend so much time thinking about what to use. In a way I wanted to revisit Rapture but I am glad we didn't because columbia is breathtaking. Spoiler!!!! I wouldn't count out a return to rapture.
