Microsoft Seeking Glacier Blast Trademark

It appears Microsoft is preparing a new game called Glacier Blast. The company this week filed an application with the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) for the name, covering "game software."

Microsoft also picked up a related domain name--www.GlacierBlastGame.com --at the end of March. The website currently redirects to a Bing search.

Microsoft has the most first party studios out of the big three, with most studios working on unannounced projects. Expect many new games announcements in the coming months.

If half are Kinect games, then Microsoft simply has as many studios as SONY.

MS opened up allot of new studios in the past few years. Most of the studios are Largely not active for the 360 but for the 720. While some are strictly making Kinect games for 360.

Its all being made for the the 720, forget the 360. The revenue, the R&D, the development, all of it is being transferred to the 720 from this point on.

Remember Rare, you know that amazing studio until MS bought it and then it spat out stupid games. I only remember Halo 4 and Forza Horizon as the last IP's (the ones I would buy at least). Sony and Nintendo bring out at least 5+ IP's every year and MS usually 1+ . The old MS from 2005-2007 was the best but ever since Kinect and money came, they got selfish.

It is going to be hilarious when E3 comes around and MS has more core exclusives to show off than Sony.

Core exclusives are great, except when they're catered to Kinect. Unfortunately, Microsofts core is Kinect so rather than finding E3 'hilarious' I'd probably find it more worrying.

Remember the beginning of this generation. When MS line up was waaaay better than Sony's.

Bioware got bought, SK embezzled money from them, Alan Wake went through development hell, Splinter Cell got scratched and reworked. And the second waze of studio closures in 2009 was done as a company cut to save money because of the recession, not because MS was giving up on the core.

Sony Fanboys are the ones who forgotten the past because it gets in the way of the Bullshit they like to spew in the preset.

We could quote events all day long, where Sony comes out stronger.

I know Sony was worse off at the start of this generation, high cost price, weaker library, it's no wonder it WAS losing.

But these past e3's It is undeniable that Sony has bested Microsoft in the ' Core ' exclusives category.

In the business and competitive world we live in, it's not what you've done in the PAST, it's all about what you're DOING and are going to do if you want to succeed, and right now, Sony is undeniably doing 10x more than Microsoft.

Glacier Blast. Hmmmmm I wonder what game genre does this title fit in? FPS? RPG? HackandSlash? Fighting? Excuse me my throat is swelling and I need to *cough*Kinect*cough* I think its an FPS where your a native tibetan civilian and a group of guys took your village. So its up to you to make these guys pay. And the controls would be revolutionary you dont need a controller and the room would be illuminated to have extra scene views. I think this will be a fun Triple A game.
