VVV: "Last week, our review of Need for Speed: Most Wanted was published on this very website, which prompted VVV's resident chief Alan Boiston to take it out for a spin to see what all the fuss was about.
It seems he wasn't quite as enamoured with the game as I was, however, finding fault with the lack of cockpit camera, an unplayably low bumper view and a lackluster environment amongst a whole host of other issues."
After nearly three decades of NFS games, here's a list of the best Need For Speed titles that have ever been released in the past years, ranked by The Nerd Stash.
Need for Speed: Most Wanted debuted in 2005, with the Xbox 360 version being the first then next-generation title in the franchise.
This game was awesome! I remember reloading my save if I didn’t get the pink slip from my blacklist rival
Paul writes - "EA know a good thing when they see it, and for multiple years November was Need for Speed month. In a break from the usual routine, I'm going to be looking back at two games here, released in 2005 and 2010 respectively. The earlier game is Need for Speed: Most Wanted, which has the distinction of being one of the very best in the franchise. The second game comes from 2010, and is Need for Speed Hot Pursuit; which I'll talk about just as the Remastered version of the game has hit the stores."
I completely adore this game! In fact its probably my favorite racing game. I recently dusted off my xbox 360 to play Most Wanted 2005. Still a great game, though I do not remember there being such horrible performance. Like massive frame-pacing issues. screen tearing, latency. If any game ever truly needed to be remastered, it this one for sure!
Game is fantastic. The game only sucks if you're looking for structure. Some people need to be told what to do, and don't know how to enjoy something if they aren't given bullet points.
If you're looking for a huge open world, it's easy to spend hours getting caught up in cop chases and destroying people in online matches.
The Miiverse stuff added to the Wii U version is pretty awesome as well.
It's ok, I would have liked it to be more like the original MW
The disagree police are going to crucify me, but I thought it was overrated. The game itself was good. What turned me off was the map. I didn't think it was very good. It looked good, but the layout of the map and the overall environment was just not awesome (with the exception of the airport graveyard). I preferred the set up of the map of Burnout Paradise... everything felt connected, yet still diverse. I also got Most Wanted the same day as Forza Horizon, which I really enjoyed more than Most Wanted, so that didn't help it in my eyes either. Most Wanted is by no means a bad game, it just isn't as great as some have made it out to be. I want Criteron to make a next gen Burnout... that would be awesome.
Yup. Its Burnout with out the fun. I hate "open world" racers. That's just plain dumb. I like my racers with 1 road and lots of things to blow up, cars to crash and excitement build in. If I wanted to drive around I can do it here in NYC.
I miss rolling doughnuts over cops and rivals.
