Andrew N from Negative World says: "Lots of news is pouring out after the announcement of Sega’s acquisition of Nintendo, but this may be one of the most interesting bits. Of course we all expected Sega to utilize some of Nintendo’s franchises, but was anyone really expecting a new Urban Champion right away? However, if you read on, you will see why it might just make the most sense anything has ever made."
April fools ?
Dude, they seriously do need some new IP's... I mean, fair enough, I want a great 3D Mario for my Wii-U as much as the most rampant Ninty fanboy (OK, maybe not that much), but common, Zombi-U is a far better game than Mario Wii-U...I mean, really, another rushed 2D side scrolling Mario, or some new M rated, Metroid inspired, hardcore game would have sold some consoles. Another Bowser kidnapping fiasco is getting old, even to the most ardent Nintendo fanboy.
I would gladly sacrifice even the new 3D Mario for Wii-U, for a new IP made by Myamoto that allows him complete creative freedom on a new Wii-U IP. Hell, even if it's another platformer, it would still be worth sacrificing the stale Mario character, & letting another Nintendo team handle future Mario games, while Myamoto's team smashes out awesome hardcore mature themed new IP's.
I would crap my adult diaper if it was announced that he was working on a new open world sandbox type IP for Wii-U, made to compete against GTA.
And seeing Nintendo doesn't seem to get GTA games (unless it's on there handhelds), it would be a perfect fit.
I called it!
