This is remarkable! I've been stung with the first pre-order I've ever made in my life with Aliens: Colonial Marines and swore I'll never pre-order another game for the rest of my days(It's that bad), but this, it's so tempting!

What makes me believe this is in-game is the screens I recently took of BF3 it looks amazing still to this day

Well hopefully it isn't the same in respect of the single player offering. I hope they've learnt their lesson in that regard.

True Battlefield fans will however, realise that Battlefield doesn't need a single player portion. At it's core it is a multiplayer game through and through but maybe in this day and age, a single player portion is necessary (the likes of Shadowrun were heavily criticised for the lack of SP).

The screenshots look incredible but we really need to see this in motion before we can really get wowed by it. The scale of the level in the first picture looks incredible though.

Note the extra detail in the character's faces and the really cool particle effects.
This has launch on current gen (which has been maxed out enough already with bf3) as well as next gen.
I don't really care how much better the game looks as long as I get 64 players on next gen consoles.

Battlefield is one of the most innovative shooters MP wise - big open maps and destruction with vehicles. It was pretty much next-gen last gen MP gameplay wise on PC, although still great on consoles.

I bet the coming gen will see a rush of shooter attempt to be more like BF than COD.

SP still needs A LOT of work however.

Should be interesting to see what the PS4 can pull off. The amount of detail in the video is stunning (as well as the photo's). However that's PC, I'm sure the PS4 is no slouch. Expect good graphics from PS4/NextBox. Maybe not top top end PC graphics, but very good.

Still waiting for Bad Company 3.

It does look the same, as the PC version of BF3. Need to see it in action before making any real judgments though.
IMHO it already looked good enough, but the destruction was a major step back from Bad Company 2, so I'm hoping for BF3 levels of pretty with BC2 levels of destruction this time.

It doesn't take a whole lot anymore to max BF3. I can do it on a 660TI, and previously on my 560TI.

It only takes four gigs of RAM, a mid range CPU and a mid range GPU to MAX it out.

Now, Crysis 3, on the other hand takes significantly more to MAX out. I can only run it on high settings with a 660TI, 16GB of RAM, and top end i5 (forgot number, think it is 3700 or something). Not as good of a game as Battlefield in my opinion, but takes a lot more horsepower than BF3 to run.

No, no it doesn't. It looks like absolute shit. Both character(shit poly and texture) and environment(absolutely no difference between BF3). The BF3 single player campaign lighting demonstration looked more impressive than this. BC2 environment looks better than this. If this is what they have to sacrifice for 1080p and 60fps. I rather they stick to 720p.

Loved BF3, was really excited for BF4. I am going to hold my breath and hope this is just awful screen shots.

Clearly it is for mid range and long range gunning.

I am willing to bet that when you toggle fire modes, it will switch between the two.

Single fire will more than likely be the scope and semi or automatic fire will be the iron sights.

The front sight that is at the end of the scope, comes with the gun obviously. The second front sight as well as the rear sight are clearly add-ons.

I don't see how you come to the conclusion that the pics are fake, especially when they are on the Battlefield site.

Wow Looks like DICE has stepped up the Frostbite Engine again! Such a wonderful Engine. Should see big improvements no matter the platform.

These new images look nothing like the teaser trailers that gave an impression of a dark and gritty battlefield..so disappointing to say the least.

instead we get maps the same as gulf of oman with a few more birds flying around..same art style for the guns.. war should be dark and bloody like it is in real life...

this trailer better change my mind tomorrow so far it seems battlefield 3.1 turns call of duty!!

Why is everyone hating on the game? If graphics really mean that much to you, go build a PC. It's not like this game is ugly, in fact, it looks great for a cross-platform launch title. The game is going to be amazing and if it can bring forth 720p, 60fps, 64-player multiplayer, and an improved engine, then I'm set. If it can do all of that at 1080p, then I'm even more excited :)

The games earliest in a console's life cycle rarely are optimized. Give it like a year or two (by then we'll probably have BF5, if this current trend continues) until we see some even more impressive content.

I'm not impressed until i see the game running. BF3 became alittle stale to me and I found myself going back to play BF2 or BC2 at times. I love for them to focus alittle more on some strategic smaller game modes that are not so chaotic. Also they better include chat on PC, such a failure with BF3!!

I saw the leaked video of it. It looks alright. Its based in the screen shots. You also have a scene where you are on a light raft and the ocean goes crazy. Its awesome. And immediately after it ends it says to watch for 15 minutes of single player game play soon at pax or something. Dont know what pax is.
