damn i hate orign why cant EA just use Steam and stop being little bitches

OpieWinston4041d ago

They use Origin because they don't like losing their profits...I imagine.

All I know is I'm probably not buying BF4 for PC because of how awful Origin is...I mean my god people are actually able to steal GAME LICENSES...

EA Customer Support literally handed over my buddies BF3 license while he was at work, to some random joe.

All I know is EA as a publisher is awful, I've had some of my worst experiences with EA. BF3 was fun but I had to enjoy it on my 360.

ShabbaRanks4041d ago

I hate Origin, using a web browser to play MP in a FPS game is unnatural imo. Console versions were weaker graphically (duh), but as far as browsing multiplayer matches the console versions nailed it. The in game menus when trying to find and join a match was perfect imo.

I’m going with the PS4 version for BF4, PC will still win in the graphics category, but this time around we shouldn’t be staring at a Vaseline screen anymore and most likely next gen will have the same or almost same amount of players online. In some maps 24players on 360 and PS3 wasn’t enough… *cough* Armoured Kill *cough* Oh and no Origin :D

papashango4041d ago

For the first time ever I'll not be pre-ordering a battlefield title. I've been playing since the pre-launch 1942 demo...

quite a shame. Sure Origin has a little to do with it but I'm not a fan of season passes and that ultimately sealed the deal for me. That and BF4 is just essentially BF2 on the frostbite engine.

DeadlyFire4040d ago (Edited 4040d ago )

@ShabbaRanks
64 Players are very likely for Battlefield 4 -Next gen version + PC version. Anyway.

PS4 and X720
8 cores - 8 threads @ 1.8-2.0 Ghz likely.

My PC has 4 cores and 4 threads at 2.4 Ghz. I am certain the PS4 can keep pace or outrun my system. My PC does fine with 64 players and decent level of graphics. Map size used to scale to player count in Battlefield 2. I don't know why it didn't scale on Battlefield 3.

Sadly I cannot pre-order PS4 version just yet.

SlyFoxC4040d ago

@shabbaRanks

the game itself is not played in the browser....there is an actual BF3 program you install, its just that the MP menu is in browser...

and have you not played the new Medal of Honor???

sorry to sink your battleship but origin is now in console games.... you have to log in and there is even a pop-up menu.....

I want to see some impressive technology first.

Can you believe these guys?

MooseWI4041d ago

Pre-orders for a game that has nothing revealed really. Tomorrow there is the reveal though...

caseh4041d ago

Funny stuff, the final expansion for BF3 only come about 3 weeks ago and now they are taking pre-orders for BF4.

I'm out, a bit tired of companies releasing a game for full retail then releasing about 4 expansions (which costs MORE than the cost of the game when new) then announcing the next game moments after they've released the last expansion.

pre-order if you like being consistently parted of your cash...

gedapeleda4041d ago

I agree, better wait a little and buy the all inclusive edition.
A patient man always wins.

DeadlyFire4040d ago

I never buy DLC until its free or close enough to it in the all inclusive version.

iRocket4041d ago

Damn shame they still insist using Origin, even if they knew BF4 PC would have a LOT more sales if they used Steam. Origin is itself not a bad software, it does it purpose, it just is simply an inferior product.

Battlefield 1, Hardline, BF4 Servers Are Being Taken Offline by Cheaters; EA Silent on Issue

Cheaters & hackers have been causing grief on Battlefield 1, Hardline & BF4 servers, with nonstop DDoS attacks among other things. Unfortunately, EA has remained silent about it.

-Foxtrot752d ago

Course they are silent, they are hoping people flock to 2042

gamesftw250751d ago

Maybe it was a inside job then haha.

jeromeface751d ago

wouldnt be the first time, titanfall 1+2 anyone?

PapaBop751d ago

Not even if they paid me.. EA always do this with old games with less money potential, if this was Ultimate Team, they'd address and sort it faster than stories could spread. Why invest time in their products when they will just dump it in the following years? Then again EA never could see the forest for the trees.

Inverno751d ago

I imagine after those games were given out for free a couple months back through Amazon, anything that makes people go to 2042 is a plus for them

XiNatsuDragnel752d ago

They want people to go on 2042. My theory

excaliburps751d ago

Nah. I think they can't do anything about it or they want to sink money into fixing it.

Pudge102888751d ago (Edited 751d ago )

EA owns all BF servers so yes, they can do something about it but they refuse to because they dont want ppl playing their old games instead of the new one. Its EA we’re talking about here

pr33k33751d ago

if this happened in 2042, they'd have something to say. which is weird, considering battlefield 1 has more players on steam right now.

Pudge102888751d ago

Its so obvious that EA is doing this or hired ppl to mess up the games so that we’d be forced to have just 1 Battlefield working.

FPS_D3TH751d ago

Honestly it’s probably the devs themselves. They did an update to bf4 way back that kinda made assault rifles doo doo in hopes that people would flock to BF1 cuz BF4 was too perfect

There's a bunch of great shooters on gamepass; both legacy and new.

A recommendation I have is a work in progress preview title called Anacrusis. It's a lot of fun, and has a cool aesthetic.

KeenGamer: "Sometimes a game starts out as a buggy mess and we all just stop and think, “that definitely could have spent a bit more time in the oven”. This is the case for these 5 games which infamously marked their place in recent game memory."
