64% of Players didn’t meet Wrex in ME3’s Campaign

Bioware has released quite a few stats regarding ‘Mass Effect 3’ as part of their retrospective of the series taking place at PAX East. As a whole, gamers took the paragon path, played as soldiers, didn’t particularly like Kaidan, and chose the male Shepard.

Well maybe if they actually wrote him into the squad instead of being a side character then we could of enjoyed him more.

They had a good character and they threw him away, I mean the squad in ME3 was pretty weak in my opinion

Captain_Mushroom4043d ago

Also, Vega survived more times than Garrus? Really?

Redempteur4042d ago

Because nobody took him in the final mission.
Other died because prior to the extended cut , the EMS ratting were too high for your squadmates to survive the beam ....simple as that.

SOD_Delta4043d ago

At least Garrus was in all three Mass Effects. Wrex and Garrus are my two favorite squadmates in ME1.

Root4043d ago

Same here....I wish they would of added onto the squad mates instead of replacing most of them.

nnotdead4041d ago

not for me :(. i lost my saves, so i did a quick play through for the first 2 games before 3 came out. Garrus died at the end of 2. i was so shocked and upset, but it felt too meaningful to change.

Is it so hard to do a side mission and acquire Wrex?

CC-Tron4042d ago (Edited 4042d ago )

All they had to do was bring back the surviving 12 squadmates from ME2, add in Wrex or Liara, Kaiden/Ashley and that's it. I would have been satisfied.

Thatlalala4041d ago

Disagree, 50 cent/kanye(jacob) dont belong on my ship. Other than that though. I agree.

Gigglefist4041d ago

It was relatively easy for him to die in the first Mass Effect.

I mean Kaiden or Ashley was a trade off, so one of them would appear in Mass Effect 3 regardless, but having a squad character that would be unavailable to a large amount of continuing players wouldn't make much sense.

Hydralysk4041d ago

Why wouldn't it make sense?

If your game is truly about choice and consequence then add some consequence to our choices. I mean Garrus and Tali could die in ME2 so there's 2 possibly unavailable squadmates for returning players right there.

I feel a bit like a broken record here but look at the witcher 2, the direction of the entire second act changes based on a decision you make in the first act.

Does this mean I'm locked out of a bunch of quests and/or story for that faction based on an earlier decision? Yes, and that's a great encouragement for replay value.

That fact that not everyone will see it on their playthrough isn't necessarily a bad thing.

TheTwelve4041d ago

The ME3 squad was wack, for sure. I mean, no krogan? Forget about it....

Wow. That's surprising to me. Wrex is one of my favorite squadmates. That guy is a beast. I'm surprised well over half of these players didn't even meet the guy. Talk about a missed opportunity.

koehler834042d ago

Wrex and Tali were both dead before ME3.

One of the best things about the series is accepting it and moving forward. No quicksaves or reloads. Just suck it up and see how it plays out.

InTheLab4042d ago

If you were unable to load previous save, you ended up with stock characters like Not Wrex and Not Mordin. Bioware should have at least made it possible to meet those two OR enter a relationship with old crew mates whether you played the two previous titles or not. In the end, I suppose nothing you did mattered anyway...so...yeah.

krazykombatant4042d ago

Who cares in the end the only thing that mattered was which colour and PowerPoint slide you like best. Never buying another BioWare product.

He was one of my least favorite characters. I wish they would have done the Proths different.
