Yes, I agree, I have only played Halo at my friends house once and it was fun so I cannot wait to play Destiny. Also, Watch_Dogs seems like an amazing game. I will probably buy every launch game because there are just to many good games, and with E3 coming more will be shown so I will have to save up pretty hard

Freak of Nature4050d ago (Edited 4050d ago )

Watch dogs has to be on almost everyone's top most wanted lists, and Destiny looks like it too will be a real nice experience, and coming from a proven studio doesn't hurt it's chances...You can throw in Star wars 1313 and Deep down too while you are at...

But Play-mag best wait a bit, until actual first party games start showing there games in full force. With studios like Naughty dog and Media molecule, GG set to show us an all new IP to go along with a more indepth look at the next Killzone, drive club, Sony Santa Monica too with all of it's talent, just to name a few. And even more from Kojima, and GT6, and the long awaited Last guardian, not to mention even more surprises that surely await us all....

GribbleGrunger4050d ago (Edited 4050d ago )

mmmm ... so games you are going to get on the 720 too are your most anticipated games on the PS4. Sorry, but I find that odd for some reason. I'll concede that it might just be me though.

greenpowerz4050d ago (Edited 4050d ago )

I find this level of fanboyism odd for some reason. These seem to be the most interesting next gen games talked about or shown so far. Because they're multi platform they can't be the most anticipated? Are N4G goers all kids? I ask you because you care what people here think and I don't so you might know more about them personally. There isn't really anything else shown worth any hype. A next gen rehash of an average franchise(killzone) and some shovelware stuff(the rest of it)

I'm sure he could have mentioned unannounced PS4 exclusives that he assumed would come sooner or later, with Sony's record with announcing games and launching them I would go with more ambitious multi plats as well. LMAO

GribbleGrunger4050d ago (Edited 4050d ago )

Is this now the stock response to everything? You accuse me of being a 'kid' because I find it odd that the most anticipated games are multiplatform? How do you spin that into some fanboy theory? It's just the way I think as a person and has nothing to do with console loyalty. It also beggars belief that you've wrapped that accusation inside a post that reflects far more clearly a point you seem to want so desperately to make.

My most anticipated games (For the PS4) are the exclusives, and I'm pretty sure the same will be for most people who buy the 720. If I just wanted multiplats I'd buy them on the cheapest console, whichever that may be, and my headline would read:

Watch Dogs and Destiny: Our Most Wanted Games.

BlueTemplar4050d ago

@greenpowerz you are an imbecile.

Jek_Porkins4050d ago

I actually kind of agree, but surely you've noticed that third party games have really come on in quality and scope. Not saying exclusives aren't important, but if you look at what the 360 does mostly on third party support and you see what the Wii U doesn't do because it lacks third party support and you'll know what I mean.

If I were going to get a PS4, I'd probably get Watch Dogs, it looked damn good, and we don't really know what else is coming out for it yet.

Lvl_up_gamer4050d ago

I don't understand why you find anticipating a multiplatform game odd. I find your comment odd. Why is it odd? You sound like a fanboy, like it's not ok to be excited for a multiplatform game over an exclusive. I for one have preferred more multiplatform games over most exclusives this gen. I have yet to find an exclusive on the PS3 that warranted the purchase of my PS3. Had it not been for the Blu-ray, I would have traded my PS3 in a long time ago.

I find your comment extremely odd as I don't see why it's odd that a multiplatform game can be most anticipated.

The level of Anticipation is = to demand. If there is no anticipation for a game, low sales are the outcome. The higher the sales, the higher the "overall" anticipation for that title.

Halo = Highly anticipated
GT5 = Highly anticipated
Alan Wake = Low anticipation
Lair = Low anticipation

Most multiplats have a higher anticipation then exclusives as can be seen with their sales.

Skyrim
Oblivion
Call of Duty
Battlefield
GTA

Just because N4G likes to over hype certain games and is a very small voice in the gaming world doesn't mean that an exclusive is a highly anticipated game. A handful of people on this site may be loud about a game and hype it up to the heavens, doesn't mean that it's a highly anticipated exclusive.

I think your comment is a very narrow minded, fanboyish comment.

AngelicIceDiamond4041d ago (Edited 4041d ago )

Exactly, but if a certain console on N4g doesn't have an "X" amount of exclusives then its worthless and make it "SEEM" like nobody wants that console. Or "everybody hates when its just a small, small community that does. And yes there are Sony fanboys on all sites but I'm speaking to this one specifically.

You see when you have the majority or certain fanboy dominance or a favored console on a site. It creates a psychological euphoria between each and every fanboy, therefor the said fanboy dominance "think" they are right about everything they say. And the rest are wrong and always will be.

Example: "PS3 is outselling the Xbox." Nobody has any hard evidence on that, just shipped stuff.

That's why fanboys are wrong half the time because its psychological its all in there heads and they share a common goal. And that's there so called "logic" combined to overshadow real logic or facts and completely take it out of the equation. Fanboys think they are normal and everybody else is "crazy" stupid, "trolls" or (which I can't stand) think they're the fanboys for simply having the opposite opinion.

I won't ever lvl myself down to fanboys. If MS does something I don't like, I call on it. If Nintendo does something I don't like, I'll call on it. And yes if Sony does something I don't like I'll call on it.

I won't pretend or spin it into a positive like people do on here.

Ontopic:

As far as this goes this. Multiplats are the most wanted out of the exclusives.

Why?

Because 1.) New Ip. One the developers are highly known through out the industry to create Halo.

2.) The other is also a new Ip and the media/ fans were looking forward to Watchdogs since it last E3 when it got debuted. GTA style with a future esqu twist to it, its perfect.

The bottom line is they are both brand new Ip's that people never seen before and they are being created by well respected industry publishers.

Killzone and Infamous didn't exactly make a "bang" this generation but was critically recieved by media. And the fans of those franchises want more of them. But its only fitting that majority of the people are looking forward to a former halo developer's new game and brand new open world game from Ubisoft.

NegativeCreepWA4045d ago

I'm sorry, but whether a game is multi-plat or exclusive shouldn't matter, a good game is a good game, exclusivity doesn't make a game any better.

I can think of plenty of exclusives for any console that are crap.

telekineticmantis4050d ago

Infamous, Watch Dogs, Planetside 2, and Destiny.

MrDead4050d ago

I'm looking forward to getting my hands on everything I've seen so far.

I'm hoping they do a GOTY edition of BioShock Infinite for the PS4 too with the PC visuals.

Destiny Made Over $160 Million In Microtransaction Revenue In Less Than 2 Years

Destiny has made over $160 million in MTX revenue, and these numbers only account the data from late 2017 to early 2019.

Sgt_Slaughter331d ago

That's extremely low for microtransactions, especially for a game that's essentially designed around it

LucasRuinedChildhood331d ago (Edited 331d ago )

This was back when the game wasn't free to play.

The figures are from November 2017 to February 2019 (1 year and 4 months).

Based on that projection, the MTX revenue for Destiny 2 likely would have been closer to ~$240m for 2 years.

Not sure if premium expansions are included in that figure either although ... I'd hope that they are though and that most of the revenue was for actual content like Forsaken.

People spend way too much money on cosmetics.

Rude-ro331d ago (Edited 331d ago )

Seasons($10 and just got bumped to $12) and dungeon keys($10 each, two a year) are through the eververse(micro transaction) store.
So for those two years, in order to play a season, you would pay through micro transactions.

Sonic1881331d ago (Edited 331d ago )

Bungie Marathon will be worse since it's designed around it as well

Kurt Russell331d ago

It makes me sad to agree... but at the same time I am looking forward to giving it a go. Destiny 2 is so far in, I find it difficult to figure out what I am meant to do first.

buffig331d ago

I think FIFA alone makes over $1bn a year from mtx

anast331d ago

FIFA promotes a worldwide sport. It should make more money than destiny.

CantThinkOfAUsername331d ago (Edited 331d ago )

Let's compare something similar. Apex Legends and its ridiculous $18/$40 skins make EA a billion each year.

z2g331d ago

For as much as ppl complain how much they hate microtransactions, they sure don’t act like it. No wonder they aren’t going anywhere.

spicelicka331d ago

By "people" you're referring to millions and millions of people. Obviously the ones complaining aren't necessarily the same as the ones spending all that money.

There's millions that purchase MTX and there's nothing we can do about it
