Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon Review|GAMINGtruth

GAMINGtruth's Shawn Long jumps into the second Luigi's Mansion installment.

"Minor quibbles aside, this is yet another great Nintendo 3DS game for 2013. The pacing is perfect for a portable title, it is absolutely gorgeous to look at and is a lot of fun to play. A lengthy main quest with online play is usually a recipe for success, and this game is no different. It’s a perfect -and-play title with just the right features needed for a portable adventure. Between this game and Kid Icarus’ return, it’s nice to see the old or forgotten franchises reborn on the 3DS."

I might have to give this one a try if someone I know has a Wii U. That's too good a score to ignore!

The games coming out this year for the 3ds are going to be the final nail in the coffin for the vita I'm afraid. And I own both. #justsayin

So games like Soul Sacrifice, Sly Cooper Thieves in Time, Killzone Mercenary, Tearaway, Guacamole, Oddworld new and Tasty etc don't stand a chance against Nintendo's offerings. Yeah right. Lol
I own both as well, yet I'm looking forward to both Nintendo and Sony's lineup.

Apart from soul sacrifice, you've listed glorified tech demos. Just my opinion. Animal crossing, shin mega tensei, etrian odyssey 4, luigis mansion 2, fantasy life, dragon Quest, castlevania mirror of fate, monster hunter 3 ultimate, fire emblem awakening (still to come here to europe).... I could go on and on. Hope the vita survives but with the threat this year more than ever of tablets and smartphones, there's more than likely gonna be a company's portable system fold. And it won't be nintendo's.

I think Vita needs all the help it can get really. It'll be an interesting year.

Loved the first game on GC. Too bad I don't have a 3DS (probably never will).

Your really missing out on some great games...just saying.

I have both a Wii U and 3DS. I feel like I made a good decision with both. Except for buying on launch...$249.99 for a 3DS is not the business.

Some great games there. Still waiting for the switch to become a real powerhouse with more of what Nintendo is known for. I feel that with 2 years in, it has been slow.

What do you need to know about Luigi's Mansion

It is a good time to be a Luigi fan. Mario’s little brother not only has a place in Super Mario Maker 2, but 2019 brought his adventure series back. Luigi’s Mansion has returned! But, what if someone didn’t play it on the GameCube? What if a person missed the handheld releases? Here’s why everyone should help Luigi suck up some unruly spirits.

Luigi’s Mansion gave Mario’s brother his own identity

Before Luigi’s Mansion came out in 2001, Luigi was stuck in Mario’s shadow. Luigi started life as a green-colored palette-swap for Mario in the 1983 arcade game Mario Bros., and that was his role going forward for a long time. If a Mario game had two players, Luigi would be called into action.

That’s why the announcement of Luigi’s Mansion felt like such a big deal. Every major Nintendo home console had launched with a Mario game. Now, the GameCube was going to debut in 2001 alongside a solo Luigi adventure. Finally, the little brother plumber was getting the spotlight.
