I'm still wondering why Europe gets so much priority when the chart listings are posted. Listing that, depending on what they show, will either be spun as proof of success/failure for one thing or another, or dismissed as "vhchartz numbers are unreliable."

Roper3164056d ago

The numbers are old & not upto date & VG only seems to fudge 1 consoles numbers for some reason. Wonder why that is? /s... We all know why they do it.

Mr_Writer854056d ago

Who's numbers do they fudge and in a negative or positive way?

Roper3164056d ago

They have always under inflated the PS3 & over inflated the 360. All you have to do is look @ the #'s Sony & MS post for their sales #'s to know this.

Godmars2904056d ago

And I've never understood why they do such things, are pretty damn apparent about it, when I've found myself in several arguments with people from their site trying to defend it as "serious." And yet with every other report from NPD and even Metacritic they've either low balled numbers or used older numbers.

Roper3164056d ago

it's why a site like this which covers all consoles sales #'s shouldn't be run by a fan-boy like the owner of VGchartz. He would be best served to cover Xbox exclusively on a dedicated Xbox site since all he does is spread misinformation about the other consoles.

BitbyDeath4055d ago (Edited 4055d ago )

VGChartz only record numbers from 5 countries.

USA, UK, Germany, France, Japan.

360 sales just looked fudged because it's main area of sales come from the USA where as Sony and Nintendos sales are spread out among all 196 countries of the world.

Meaning 191 countries are not recorded at all in VGChartz.

Ok, so I have to assume you're being numerous? Clearly you must have seen that for the last 7 years it's always the American and the UK numbers that are put up first? Yeah ... you must be playing right?

PS3 always is on top in Europe !

Dno4056d ago

wow the PSV and wii u numbers are not good. But 3ds and ps3 are awesome. I dont understand why all are good systems and sony and nintendo is known other there. i would think fans of nintendo 3ds would be fans of wii u and same with ps3 and vita. guess not lol

Tei7774055d ago

Nope. Loyalty is trait reserved for the fanboys, who are actually minorities in the industry.

Dno4055d ago

you are right as the data suggests and proves but i think if you like sony games you get sony systems that play sony games just like 3DS.

thats what i do. i want halo i get the halo box. same with all 3. guess you are right tho.

Review - A Difficult Game About Climbing (PC) | WayTooManyGames

WTMG's Leo Faria: "A Difficult Game About Climbing is obviously frustrating, and I don’t exactly think it’s a fun pasttime, but it’s exponentially more enjoyable than the horrendous Getting Over It With Bennett Foddy. It’s actually beatable with enough trial and error. Its mechanics, whilst not exactly polished to the brim, work as intended, with no intentional input lag. It’s still clearly meant for Let’s Play youtubers to film themselves losing their minds over it, but it can still be a passable challenge if you’re up for the task."

Review - New Star GP (PC) | WayTooManyGames

WTMG's Leo Faria: "I loved that New Star GP ended up being nothing like what I was expecting from it. I thought I was going to get a simple and straightforward love letter to Virtua Racing, only for it to be something more akin to the best F1 racing games from the mid to late 90s, with a perfect blend of accessible physics and simulation elements. New Star GP is adorably retro in its visuals and vibes, but it’s got some surprising amount of depth and an interesting career mode. A little hidden gem in the racing scene, without a doubt."
