im quite surprised that the xbox is at the top in the UK but its good. good sales for ps3 and xbox which are old consoles but i cant wait for the next generation consoles to be released to stimulate the gaming economy. eight months seems so far away for the xbox 720 and ps4.

360 has been top in the UK for a while. It tends to mimic NA sales figures as far as ratio of sales from one console to another.

I think PS3 does better overall in Europe though.

Xbox 360 success in the UK probably comes down to the fact we got stuffed on the release price and date of the PS3. Many may have picked up a 360 soley due to the fact it came out first, I know I did but eventually went across to the PS3. :)

PS3 does do better overall in Europe, but in the UK the 360 has dominated the majority of the time.

Xbox 360 always dominates in the UK..u can go to many retailers and they seem to have
More xbox360 titles on stock than PS3. U see chavs on benefits spend tax payers money on 360 consoles & games. Uk is the most generous country in the world were anyone from anywhere in the world can come and exploit our countries welfare system.

Are you a taxi driver by any chance? You bring up your bigot views on a gaming site, you must be a nightmare in real life.

Nintendo did big mistake with Wii U. They were hoping it sell just as Wii, but its not. 150 us dollars alone this controller cost, instead they could upgrade console with 150. Sad, just Wii HD that is.

I cant see the Wii-u coming back from this slump they are in, Im not saying its a bad system but it is really taking knock in terms of sales.

Christopher4057d ago

With the right games, I think it could.

AWBrawler4057d ago

E3 and before that, japan is getting some games that will boost sales such as pokemon scramble U

CaulkSlap4057d ago

Price cut to $149 and some decent games. I think Nintendo's entire scheme behind the crap hardware+gimmick is to have price cut options if the gimmick doesn't take off. Same hedged bet they took with the Wii and it's not paying off big again.

ARESWARLORD4057d ago

People the wii u is a awesome machine. I bet almost everyone has one in 3 years from now. Mark my words nay Sayers you will have one next to your PS4

MasterCornholio4057d ago

Just like I have a Wii along side my PS3.

Oh wait I don't own a Wii. Oil

The same will probably happen to me next gen.

Seriously let me explain. I'm not interested in Nintendo franchises at all plus I don't see the point in playing inferior multi plats on the Wii U if the PS4 or 720 versions will be better. And last of fall I prefer gaming with a normal controller and since not all Wii U games support the Wii Us pro controller whats the point in getting one?

P.S I had an extensive 6 hour experience with the Wii U and I don't like the tablet controller at all.

I doubt that, especially if things continue the way they are now. Unless Bayonetta, Project X and a few others release before the year is out, the PS4 will have more launch titles that interest me than titles in the Wii U's whole library.

strickers4057d ago

Nope. Bad design. Weak system.

smashcrashbash4057d ago

I don't know what people are talking about. The last time they counted PS3 was ahead in the UK. I remember because people were saying the UK was only a small part of Europe so it wasn't important that the PS3 was ahead.

Sky Climb Review - Duuro

Duuro says: "I think the idea behind the movement is cool, but on the other hand, the execution and clear limitation of the platform somewhat undermine the whole thing."
