GE: "EDGE has a first look at Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 as well as the new engine its built on in issue #252. Subscribers have started to receive the magazine ahead of the official March 14 date, meaning we have access to PES 2014 content a bit early."
The 2013 professional soccer game will lose online play starting November 17.
A new big sale is now available on GameStop in North America, discounting the PC digital versions of several Konami published titles.
Konami has admitted that its focus on visuals for last year's PES 2014 damaged the final product, leading to a game that was only "half done" and "extremely unhappy" fan feedback.
They should of just tweaked pes 2013 awesome game and it looked better than 2014.pes2013 with next gen gfx's please
Yes pes 2013 was great, totally they should just have used 2013 as a guideline for 2014 and 2015, how can you trust konami now, same thing year after year, they say allot of fancy words and then its just worse
Please please please make the game good enough so I don't look at getting Fifa or at the very least force EA to actually invest resources on a proper sequel instead of releasing half broken features that make the game worse.
PES sucks
that zone thing sounds really impressive. I wonder how far we can go with it.
like, the problem with football games is that you'll have a team like Barcelona with a very particular style IRL but they don't play like Barcelona in the game. when defending/without the ball, defense has a high line, team becomes extremly compact and press the ball. with possession, they make the field big, players always move into areas of space; makes you feel like playing against 22 men. essentially there's no soul or consciousness to the team.
with this addition, wow the possibilities are endless. you could even play like the Netherlands team of the early 70s!
we'll see.
I'd try PES if thats what my friends were playing but as it is I'm only playing fifa, and its pretty fun in regards to playing online or head-to-head w/ friends. Grew bored of playing the computer after a week or two. Skill games were good learning tools as well as this was the first fifa or soccer game i've purchased since the sega genesis.
